The cherry blossom blooming period in 2026 is expected to start on March 25 in Jeju, with nationwide blooming occurring from late March to early April.

In Cheongju, the most popular spots to enjoy cherry blossoms are the Musimcheon Stream and the Uamsan Trail. The cherry blossoms in Miwon-myeon bloom about a week later than those along Musimcheon.
Sokrisan's cherry blossoms also bloom a week later than those in Cheongju, making it a great spot for cherry blossom enthusiasts.
The first cherry tree to bloom in Cheongju is located next to Seomun Bridge and is known for its abundant blossoms. This year's first tree bloomed on March 23, making it the earliest in Cheongju.
Nearby, a deck for taking photos and a charming public phone booth add to the picturesque setting.
The standard cherry blossom indicator tree is located in front of Cheongju Technical High School, blooming about ten days earlier than others.

The cherry blossom path along Musimcheon stretches from Seokgyo-dong Hyosung Hospital to Je1 Uncheon Bridge, covering a distance of three kilometers, and from Bangseo-dong Bangseogyo to Songcheon Bridge in Songjeol-dong, spanning eight kilometers.
This round trip of over ten kilometers is perfect for a brisk walk.
The Musimcheon Cherry Blossom Path, representing Cheongju City, features cherry trees over 100 years old, attracting many people to enjoy the spring atmosphere.
The most vibrant section of cherry blossoms stretches about 600 meters from Cheongju Bridge to the entrance of Juseong Elementary School, where forsythia blooms along the embankment, creating a famous photo spot.
Across from Seokgyo-dong Hyosung Hospital, a cherry blossom tunnel awaits visitors.
When the cherry blossoms are in full bloom, a magnificent tunnel of flowers is created along the walking path.
