Spring Marine Cleanup Activity for a Cleaner Coastal Environment

To preserve a clean marine environment
and create a pleasant tourist destination,
a spring marine cleanup activity was conducted.
On the 26th,
over 70 public officials participated
in a large-scale cleanup at Daegwang Beach.
This initiative was a proactive measure
to maintain clean beaches and seas in anticipation
of the increase in spring tourists.
It was organized to provide visitors with a more pleasant environment.
Approximately 20 tons of marine debris were collected.
Participants focused on collecting various marine waste
such as discarded styrofoam, plastic waste, and fishing gear
along the coastline near Daegwang Beach.
As a result, around 20 tons of waste were successfully removed.
Daegwang Beach is a popular tourist spot representing Sinan.
This cleanup activity not only provides tourists
with a cleaner space for relaxation,
but also raises awareness of the importance
of protecting the marine ecosystem.
Sinan County plans to expand the marine cleanup activities
into regular and ongoing environmental conservation campaigns.
We will continue to do our best
to ensure that both residents and tourists
can enjoy a clean and safe sea.
