Yesterday (March 31, 2026), I was pleasantly surprised to see the cherry blossoms in full bloom at Wonsongcheon in Cheonan.
The cherry blossoms at Wonsongcheon are blooming about a week earlier than usual, allowing me to enjoy their beauty without the crowds.
While the cherry blossom path is lovely during the day, it truly shines at night. The lights placed under the abundant cherry trees along the river create a romantic spring evening atmosphere.

Yesterday (March 31, 2026), I made an unexpected visit to Wonsongcheon. Having visited this place for several years, I was astonished by the sudden bloom of the cherry blossoms.
I initially came to check the blooming status but hurried back to my car to grab my camera and capture the moment.
Please note that there is no designated parking lot for Wonsongcheon; you must park on the roadside next to the river. Therefore, parking may be challenging on weekends.
I didn't realize during my previous visit that forsythia flowers were also beautifully blooming along the path. With lights underneath the yellow forsythia, they can be enjoyed at night as well.
During the cherry blossom season, Wonsongcheon hosts a booth called "Cultural Walking Path" located in front of the Nonghyup. Live performances can be enjoyed, and song requests are accepted. Simple prizes are also available, making it a great stop for visitors.
The cherry trees near the Nonghyup are definitely less bloomed compared to the GS area (as of March 31, 2026). Still, the cherry blossoms at Wonsongcheon are stunning with the added lights.
As the sun sets, the night cherry blossoms shine even more brightly. As someone who loves flowers, just seeing such beauty brings tears to my eyes.
