Shinan County Launches the 'WalkOn' Health Walking Challenge

Shinan County is committed to promoting a walking culture among its residents and enhancing their health.
In 2026, we will officially launch the health walking challenge 'WalkOn'.
This challenge utilizes a mobile walking app as a non-contact health promotion program.
The goal is to systematically manage the health of our residents through walking in daily life.
It aims to naturally increase physical activity levels.
The 'WalkOn' health challenge allows participation through a mobile app that automatically records steps via smartphones.
Any resident of Shinan County can easily join.
Operating Period: February to November 2026 (total of 10 months)
Eligibility: All residents of Shinan County
How to Participate: After installing the mobile walking app 'WalkOn', join the challenge.
Participants will aim to achieve monthly step goals set by age group.
Age-specific step goals have been established considering the physical burden on residents.
✓ Under 59 years: 180,000 steps per month
✓ 60 years and older: 140,000 steps per month
These goals are designed to be achievable through regular walking without overexertion.
Participants who meet their monthly step goals will have the chance to win benefits!
Each month, among those who achieve their step goals, 400 participants will be randomly selected to receive a mobile coupon worth 5,000 won.
It's a win-win health challenge where you can take care of your health and enjoy small rewards.
Increasing physical activity in daily life is essential for improving health levels.
We will continue to create a healthy Shinan through various health promotion programs that encourage community participation.
The 'WalkOn' walking challenge aims to prevent obesity and chronic diseases.
We hope for the active participation of all residents in this healthy change starting in 2026.
