Yongmeori Coast at Sanbangsan Mountain, a popular spot on Instagram, is a great place to visit in Jeju in October.

I'd like to introduce a tourist spot in Seogwipo that I visited while enjoying the unusually long late summer this year. Yongmeori Coast is a great place to take a walk with your family, enjoy the surrounding scenery, and have a wonderful time.

It was a great place to walk, especially in October.

(Text and photos: Jeju Haijjeong)

Yongmeori Coast is the best geological attraction in Jeju Island, located in Andeok-myeon, Seogwipo-si. Thanks to this, tens of thousands of tourists flock here every year, and even I, who live in Jeju, never get tired of this great treasure of nature, no matter how often I visit.

Sanbangsan Mountain is very close by. The area around Sanbangsan Mountain, a bell-shaped volcano on Jeju Island, exudes a sacred aura, and just looking at it makes you feel energized.

Sanbangsan Mountain is so close to the Yongmeori Coast parking lot that you could almost touch it. In between, there are canola flower fields where yellow flowers bloom every spring, filling the air with their fragrance.

Inside, there's also the Sosekchae Bon Cafe with a wonderful ocean view, and there are several cafes where you can relax while looking at the sea, which was very convenient.

Admission Fees and Basic Information:

Address: 112-3, Sagye-ri, Andeok-myeon

Parking: Available

Admission: Adults 2,000 won / Children 1,000 won

(Call before departure to check if admission is possible)

To see Yongmeori Coast with your family in October, you need to pay an admission fee. The admission fee is 2,000 won for adults and 1,000 won for children. There was no separate parking fee. It was quiet on weekdays, but it was so full during weekends and holidays that there were not enough parking spaces.

Scenery of the Exploration Path:

Once you pay the admission fee and enter the exploration path, you can observe the amazing geological environment that is hard to believe even when you see it with your own eyes.

It is one of the best natural landscapes among the many geological attractions on Jeju Island.

Every year, my family comes to Jeju Island, and to be honest, I often worry about where to take them. In those cases, I confidently recommend this tourist spot in Seogwipo.

Personally, I think Yongmeori Coast, Songaksan Mountain Dulleongil Trail, and Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak are must-visit courses where you can enjoy the wonderful scenery left by Jeju Island's volcanic activity while walking.

Looking at the geological layers that have accumulated over thousands of years, you can't help but exclaim.

The coastal exploration path is bumpy, slippery, and a bit uncomfortable, but you can fully endure that much while looking at such wonderful scenery. It takes more than an hour to explore Yongmeori Coast, so I hope you take your time to look around.

Yongmeori Coast Instagram, Phone Inquiry:

However, you can't just go in whenever you want. You can only enter when the weather conditions and the tide at Yongmeori Coast are right.

To check whether admission is possible, you can check by phone or directly on social media.
