Escape the cold and stay warm indoors!
We recommend a trip to Jeju Island, perfect for having fun!
Let us introduce you to the Holic Museum.
The temperature suddenly dropped, so I urgently searched for indoor attractions in Jeju. My child was curious about this place, so we decided to visit. There were so many things to see and do that not only my child but also my husband and I were satisfied! We had a fulfilling time for over an hour.
1. Holic Museum: A Great Place for Family Trips in Jeju
Address: 100-3, Gwangnyeong-ri, Aewol-eup, Jeju-si
Holic Museum is located on Pyeonghwa-ro in Aewol-eup, Jeju-si, not far from the airport. It's a great place to start your Jeju Island trip or to include as the final course on your last day. The operating hours are from 9:30 AM to 7:00 PM, but ticket sales and admission close at 6:00 PM, so please keep that in mind when visiting.
Admission Fees:
- Adults: ₩11,000 (ages 20 and up)
- Teenagers: ₩10,000 (middle/high school students)
- Children: ₩8,000 (ages 24 months and up)
Tip: You can get ₩800 off if you book through Naver.
There is a large dedicated parking lot right in front of the museum, so there was no inconvenience or difficulty (no separate fee ❌).
Upon entering, I checked my hair and makeup in the powder room and put my bag in the locker to get ready to enjoy the museum. This is not just an exhibition hall where you look around, but a unique cultural space where you can directly experience and participate. If you do a little preparation like this, you can enjoy the exhibition even more. So, I recommend you stop for a moment to prepare lightly before entering. Camera and phone battery levels are also a must-check!
2. A World Sparkling from the Start
The moment I opened the door and entered, the sparkling lights filling the dark space caught my eye. It felt like I had moved to another dimension. No matter where I looked, there were sparkles and colorful colors, so my eyes couldn't rest.
For your information, Holic Museum is a place in Jeju with five themes. Interestingly, this place used to be a sanatorium building? The upcycling was so perfect that it's hard to believe!
3. A Space Where Imagination Dances
As I walked along the beams of light, admiring them, the second theme zone appeared. Here, there are many hands-on content that visitors can touch, feel, and move. The scale is enormous, so it was great to run around and have fun.
I started with the photo booths that were perfectly made with the representative symbols of Jeju Island ✌️. There were so many places to take pictures that I moved diligently to not miss any of them. Thanks to that, I took enough commemorative photos of my Jeju Island trip.
Various games were also fun to play with family. In particular, the mini-game of moving Udo peanuts with giant chopsticks was a competition to see who could move them faster while counting the seconds. Everyone's hands were shaking with urgency, and the sight was so funny that I burst out laughing.
It was also nice to reminisce about playing house with my child for the first time in a long time. We played a supermarket game, filling the cart with Jeju specialties such as tangerines and mangoes. It was a small pleasure.
4. Jeju in All Seasons in One Place
If you go up to the second floor of the Jeju indoor tourist attraction, you will see a colorful flower exhibition featuring Jeju's four seasons. Holic Museum invites us to Jeju's spring, summer, autumn, and winter, boasting various colors such as red, yellow, orange, purple, blue, pink, green, and white ❤️.
Although they are not real flowers, the reality is as good as real flowers, and the fact that you can see all the flowers in one place was very attractive.
5. The Last Healing Spot
The place that decorated the end of the exhibition was the outdoor [Emptiness of Daily Life] theme zone. Here, you can continue the afterglow with a different sensibility along with using the cafe. There is an exotic indoor exhibition hall decorated with a resort atmosphere, so it was fulfilling until the end.
Holic Museum is not a Jeju indoor tourist destination that you inevitably choose because it is cold, rainy, snowy, or hot, but a Jeju Island travel recommendation spot worth visiting for fun. I hope you all include this place in your itinerary and have a good time :)
