Realizing the Dream of Winter Runners

Located at 371 Galsan-dong, Seosan, South Korea, running has become one of the hottest sports in the country!
From celebrities to influencers and amateur marathoners, the popularity of running and marathons in South Korea shows no signs of slowing down.
I also enjoy running as a hobby and recently came across a widely shared photo on social media.
The title read: "In winter, the dream of runners is unfolding in Seosan!" It was so incredible that I had to see it for myself.
When I arrived at the Seosan Comprehensive Sports Complex, located at 90 Galsan-dong, I found a vast array of facilities. There are main and auxiliary stadiums, a national culture center, and a community gym. To run on the track, you need to head to the main stadium.
Parking is ample near the main stadium entrance, making it convenient for visitors.
This was my first visit to the main stadium, and its impressive size was overwhelming. The entrance is divided into four sections: North, South, East, and West. Since it was my first time, I wandered around a bit, unsure of where to go.
Though the North entrance was closed, I believed there would be another open entrance for track use, so I searched for it.
After some searching, I found the entrance to the main stadium. Along the way, I also spotted restrooms, which is helpful to know in advance.
Only the South entrance was open, and I noticed other visitors looking for the entrance as well. Once at the South entrance, it was wide open.
Upon entering through the South entrance, the spectator seats were immediately visible. I thought about returning with my family to watch a game someday.
Seeing the greenhouse track in person was breathtaking! It was even more impressive than in photos, completely encircled by a greenhouse.
The view from the spectator seats showcased a well-constructed track.
As I approached the entrance, I noticed that only one entrance was open on weekdays, making it necessary to complete a full lap to exit.
The greenhouse felt solid and well-built, with large stones supporting the floor.
Stepping inside, I found the weather surprisingly pleasant for outdoor running, even in winter. The track has six lanes, so it didn't feel cramped at all.
There were distance markers along the track, and I estimated that one lap is about 500 meters.
Wearing my watch, I started running. Although I initially wore a padded jacket, I soon saw others in short sleeves and shorts. The greenhouse track was quite warm!
With the sun shining, a hat was essential.
During my run, I noticed multiple entrances and signs warning against spitting, likely due to the greenhouse structure's ventilation challenges.
The atmosphere was very quiet on a weekday morning, allowing me to focus entirely on my run.
I managed to run 10 kilometers, and the greenhouse track in Seosan is truly a fantastic idea!
After my workout, I shared my experience on social media, and everyone expressed their envy, saying it looked amazing.
The Seosan Comprehensive Sports Complex track is quickly becoming a winter haven for runners! Why not come out and enjoy a run this winter?
The greenhouse track protects against snow, rain, and wind—it's simply wonderful!
