Recommended Places for Rainy Days:

Focusing on indoor locations + places with a bit of atmosphere.

Time flies while watching marine life. Also good for visiting with children.

놀라운 광경

DDP, Gwangjang Market, Insadong & Bukchon Hanok Village

Even if the rain lets up a bit, combining indoor and outdoor activities makes for a decent date course — lots to do together, like market tours, exhibitions, and cafes.

따뜻한 추억

Han River Bus Information + Route / Usage Tips

Even in the rain, the Han River Bus can be a charming and unique experience. Some sections are fine if you are well-prepared with rain gear or waterproofing. However, be aware that the inside of the boat may be humid or shaky.

Operating Information

Official Start Date: From September 18, 2025.

Route: There are 7 docks: Magok → Mangwon → Yeouido → Apgujeong → Oksu → Ttukseom → Jamsil. The entire route is approximately 28.9km.

행복한 시간

Operating Hours: 11:00 AM to 9:37 PM (based on arrival time). Operates approximately 14 times a day, same on weekends and weekdays. The interval between operations is 1 hour to 1 hour 30 minutes.

Fare: 3,000 won per ride. Transfer discounts and unlimited options are available when using the Climate Companion Card.

Dock & Connecting Transportation

Docks: Magok, Mangwon, Yeouido, Apgujeong, Oksu, Ttukseom, Jamsil.

Connecting Transportation:

Ttareungi (public bicycles) are available (at all docks) → It's good to take a bike from a nearby station/place.

New bus routes are being established/surrounding bus routes are being adjusted at Magok and Mangwon docks.

Free shuttle buses will also be operated at some docks (Magok, Apgujeong, Jamsil).

Some docks are directly adjacent to subway stations, for example, Yeouido, Oksu, and Ttukseom have good subway access.

Cautions / Tips

If it rains a lot, there may be shaking when the boat moves + the section of walking to the dock may be wet or slippery, so bring an umbrella + non-slip shoes.

It's good to check in advance whether there are waiting rooms / convenience facilities at the dock. Some places have waiting rooms, convenience stores, etc.

There are many photo-worthy spots, so it's good to prepare a waterproof camera or waterproof cover, and check the operating hours as there is a possibility of cancellation depending on the weather!

This weekend, I walk through Seoul, listening to the sound of raindrops falling one by one outside the window.

The rainy autumn streets are filled with the sounds of people's footsteps and umbrellas colliding, but in it, I feel a sense of relaxation.

When I slowly glide over the water on the Han River Bus, the streetlights sparkling in the rain gently embrace my heart.

A time to put down all the worries and noises of everyday life for a moment, and face yourself or a loved one in the rain.

Isn't this a small gift found in a busy city?

With a book and a cup of warm coffee, a rainy weekend becomes special enough.

Seoul's alleyways, the waves of the Han River, and the subtle music created by raindrops.

Today, I slowly catch my breath in it and find myself again.
