The Dangjin 1-dong Administrative Welfare Center, previously located next to Seongmo Hospital, has moved to a new temporary office and began operations on February 2nd due to the construction of a new facility.
When the location changes, even a simple trip to pick up a document can feel unfamiliar.
To help prevent confusion among citizens and to make administrative services more convenient, I visited the temporary office to gather information.
Where is the new home located?
The first thing to note is the new address, which you should remember:

Overview of the Temporary Office by Floor
Upon entering the temporary office, the first thing you'll notice is the neatly organized 'Information' sign. Knowing which services are available on each floor will save you time at the elevator.
1st Floor: The most visited area, 'Civil Affairs Office & Customized Welfare Team'
If you're here for general administrative tasks like issuing resident registration certificates, notarization, or moving notifications, head straight to the first floor.
The civil affairs office has spacious and comfortable counters for quick processing.
The Customized Welfare Team helps those in need and provides welfare consultations.
There's also a volunteer center right in front, making it easy to find.
2nd Floor: The center of administration, 'Dongjang Office & General Affairs Team & Meeting Room'
This is where the main administrative duties for the district are conducted.
The Dongjang Office and General Affairs Team handle overall administrative planning and management for Dangjin 1-dong.
On the second floor, you can find various pamphlets related to local tax and motorcycle services, making it a good spot to visit during your free time.
Meeting Room: This space is used for communication with residents and various meetings.
Restrooms are also clearly marked for men and women.
3rd Floor: A space for resident communication, 'Resident Autonomy Center & Accountants' Office'
This floor sees the most active participation from residents.
The Resident Autonomy Center and Classroom 1 host various programs and courses.
With a pleasant learning environment, it seems ideal for educational activities.
The accountants' office is a hub for the neighborhood's best informants.
Don't forget to check out the underground level, which has spacious classrooms for club activities and large-scale education events.
After visiting the temporary office, I was relieved to find it clean and cozy, contrary to my initial concerns about inadequate facilities.
Clear directional signs on each floor help first-time visitors navigate easily.
Notably, the entrance to the civil affairs office is equipped with magnifying glasses and writing tools for residents to fill out forms comfortably.
Friendly staff members are also ready to assist residents who might be facing challenges due to the relocation.
As a tip, make use of the unmanned civil service issuance machine on the first floor during busy times for quicker service.
Parking can be a bit challenging in the city center, so consider using public transport or checking nearby public parking facilities in advance.
