Looking for a place to cool off during the summer? Look no further! Mureungdodong Valley Restaurant, located at the foot of Palgong Mountain, offers the perfect combination of refreshing water play and delicious dining.
This time, I visited Daegu's Mureungdodong Valley Restaurant and enjoyed a family gathering and water play with my child.
Location and Transportation
Address: 466 Dongpyeong-ro, Dong-gu, Daegu
Parking: Ample private parking available
Public Transportation:
By bus, take Palgong No. 1 and get off at 369 Garden, then walk 300m.
Accessibility is great whether you drive or take the bus.
Reservation Information
1. Seating Options: You can reserve either outdoor or indoor seating.
2. Reservation Times
Weekends & Holidays: Reservations available from 11:00 AM or 1:30 PM onwards.
Weekdays: Reservations available at any time.
3. Usage Time
During peak season (July & August), table usage is limited to 2 hours and 30 minutes.
4. Party Size
One table is assigned for up to 5 adults or a maximum of 6 people including preschool children. Please keep this in mind when making your reservation.
Rental of Raised Floor Seating (Pyeongsang) & Huts
Pyeongsang and hut rentals are available for groups of 10 or more, and cooking is allowed for those using the pyeongsang.
Valley Environment & What to Bring
The Mureungdodong valley is shallow, about ankle-deep, with knee-deep spots, making it safe and perfect for children to play in.
The sandy bottom prevents slipping, and we saw snails and minnows, allowing us to appreciate nature.
● Pets are allowed (there were guests with dogs).
● What to bring:
If you only plan to eat and dip your feet, you won't need much. However, if you have children, please bring extra clothes and towels.
If you want to play in the valley, a mat and small camping chairs are also a good idea.
While the adults ordered, our child was absorbed in playing in the water! We saw snails and minnows, and the sandy bottom made it safe for the kids. The water was clean too.
Restaurant Seating
Divided into outdoor and indoor seating.
1. Outdoor Seating
The outdoor seating area is divided into charcoal grill and regular burner sections, and each table has a fan.
Baby chairs and aprons are available.
There was also a ping-pong table, which was great for the kids.
There are restrooms and changing rooms, so it's convenient to change clothes.
They also sell ice cream. Pre-pay at the counter in front of the store.
2. Indoor Seating
I sat in the indoor seating area with air conditioning, which was cool even in the hot summer.
There was also a meat aging refrigerator in the indoor seating area.
Menu
The menu includes chicken platters, pork platters, special menus, freshwater eel, meals, and side dishes.
Basic Table Setting
The basic side dishes included seasoned vegetables and a dish with scallops, all presented neatly.

The Land, Sea, and Air Special included both meat and seafood.
The special menu with land, sea, and air elements was more filling than it looked.
Mureungdowon Special (for 3 people, 750g): ₩75,000
The Mureungdowon Special was a budget-friendly option that excluded eel and shrimp.
The portions were generous, but my family has big appetites, so we ordered 3 more servings of pork belly to grill.
My mother wanted to try the eel soup, so we finished off our meal with eel soup and kimchi noodles.
Family Outing and Water Fun with Kids
The Mureungdodong Valley has clean water and is not too deep, making it great for children to play in.
My child had fun looking at snails and small fish.
The adults relaxed by dipping their feet in the cool valley water.
Mureungdodong Valley Restaurant in Palgong Mountain is a great place for family gatherings and a day trip with the kids. I highly recommend it!
