Kkumjaramteo: A Family-Friendly Space in Jincheon Innovation City
Located at 8, Yeoan-ro, Deoksan-eup, Jincheon-gun, Chungcheongbuk-do, Kkumjaramteo is a specialized space for children and families. This two-story building features a kids cafe, a multi-purpose gymnasium, a youth career experience center, and children's play facilities.
Opened in July of this year, it has already garnered much attention.
Outside Kkumjaramteo, there is also a playground, and many children spend time there after using the indoor playground.
In front of Kkumjaramteo, Dolsil Park is filled with cosmos flowers, attracting people who come to take pictures and enjoy the scent of autumn.
On the first floor of Kkumjaramteo, you'll find a public indoor playground and a 'Youth Cafe'.
Opposite the indoor playground is the 'Youth Cafe', operated as part of a job creation project for middle-aged and older adults. Elderly baristas sell coffee and beverages, and a space is provided for seniors to relax and communicate comfortably.
A nursing room is also located on the first floor of Kkumjaramteo.
The public indoor playground on the first floor is designed for children aged 5 to 10 and includes a combination play structure, role-playing zone, trampoline, zip line, and climbing wall.
Personal belongings can be stored in lockers.
Reservations can be made in advance online through the Kkumjaramteo indoor playground reservation system. The usage fee is 4,000 KRW and is paid on-site. Jincheon-gun and Innovation City residents, as well as those eligible for legal discounts, can receive a 50% discount.
It is open from 10:00 to 18:00, Tuesday to Saturday, with each session lasting 2 hours. It is advisable to note that weekends and groups can only use it once a month. There are three sessions per day at 10:00, 13:30, and 16:00, with a maximum of 25 children allowed per session.
There is also a space for parents to relax, along with kitchen play and role-playing areas.
The hospital play area is quite realistic, with gowns available in various sizes.
There is also a fishing play area and a climbing wall area.
The zip line is quite long and is a favorite among children.
On the second floor of Kkumjaramteo, there is a multi-purpose gymnasium, an AR sports experience center, a karaoke room, a career experience lecture room, a faculty room, and an e-sports space.
The AR sports experience center and several computers are the first things you'll see.
First-time visitors must register at the information desk to use the second-floor facilities. You need to fill out a membership application, and if you are a minor, parental consent is required. After registering, you can use the kiosk.
You must reserve time slots for the multi-purpose gymnasium, e-sports, and karaoke room using the kiosk.
Screen tennis, screen baseball, mini arcade games, and board games are available without reservation.
Career experience programs are also available for teenagers. Applications for youth programs can be made on the 'Deoksan Youth Culture Center' website.
The multi-purpose experience hall has different sports available on different days, so it's a good idea to check the schedule. To use the multi-purpose experience hall, you must make a reservation at the kiosk. Indoor sports shoes are required when using the multi-purpose gymnasium; otherwise, use is not allowed. Only teenagers aged 9 to 24 can use it, from 9:00 to 21:00 from Monday to Friday, and from 9:00 to 18:00 on Saturdays.
