Weekend Getaway in Jinju, Gyeongnam
Hidden Maple Leaf Viewing Spot
A Trip to Jisu Seungsan Village
Date Taken: July 22, 2025
I visited Seungsan Village, a place said to be filled with the energy of Jinju's wealthy. It's where the founders of LG, LIG, GS, and Cuckoo Electronics were born, and also where the sister of the Samsung founder resided, making it a village of affluent individuals.
The parking space at Seungsan Village is ample, and the information signs are well-maintained.
You can explore the village by following the signposts. The birthplaces of several founders are marked, but most of the houses are now vacant, although someone seems to be managing them. Entry inside was not permitted.
There's a pavilion near the village entrance, providing a space to rest.
Seungsan Village, with its charming tiled roofs and mud walls, was perfect for a leisurely stroll.
I visited Seungsan, a filming location for the Korean TV show '1 Night 2 Days', to see the wealthy traditional Korean houses.
It was fascinating to see the neatly kept traditional houses and signs at each home, all belonging to wealthy families.
A dog greeted me at the wealthy traditional houses of Seungsan.
They also offer stays, which you can book through the Jinju City website. Please take note if you're interested.
There was even a cute Hamo character doll on display.
Although I couldn't enter all the wealthy homes, I felt like I was receiving good energy. After completing the tour of the affluent neighborhood, I walked to the nearby 'Wealthy Pine Tree,' which was just across from the village.
There was also a Jisu Seungsan Village tourist information center.
The majestic presence of the Wealthy Pine Tree was so impressive that I immediately felt like I was receiving a surge of wealth energy. I enjoyed the tour of the wealthy neighborhood, and I felt like I absorbed a lot of positive energy while strolling around.
How about a tour of Jisu Seungsan Village to receive some of that wealth energy yourself?
