Location: Chrysanthemum Local Garden (571, Maejuk-ri, Sannae-myeon)

Organized by: Jeongeup City / Jeongeup Chrysanthemum Festival Promotion Committee

Parking Information

I recommend using Parking Lot 1, which is closest to the waterfall. The address is 592-1, Maejuk-ri, Sannae-myeon, Jeongeup-si, Jeollabuk-do.

The parking lots were well-marked (Lots 1 through 4), which was very convenient!

(Free admission for Jeongeup citizens)

Adults: ₩7,000

※ Garden Love Gift Certificates, attached to the admission ticket as cash coupons, can be used as cash at the festival grounds and tea houses in Jeongeup's Ssanghwa Tea Street.

※ Residents of sister cities will receive admission tickets in the form of 'Garden Love Gift Certificates'.

☞ Sister Cities: Seoul, Sokcho City (Gangwon-do), Namyangju City (Gyeonggi-do), Sacheon City (Gyeongsangnam-do), Suseong-gu (Daegu)

※ ID required.

Once you enter and walk up to the flower fields, there's a restroom in the center! There aren't any along the walking paths.

I forgot to take a picture, but the fields of yellow and pink flowers were incredibly vast. The lack of nearby buildings made the park even more radiant!

The way back felt like waking up from a dream. ♥

2-Night, 3-Day Jeongeup Culinary Journey

Food Diary

First Meal: Snail (Ureong) Ssambap

The charm of the Snail Ssambap at Gukhwa Restaurant lies in the mild, tender leafy vegetables picked fresh from the garden. They don't overpower the ssamjang (dipping sauce) and go down smoothly. ㅜㅜ

They also had Snail Salad and Snail Cheonggukjang (fermented soybean stew), but the ssamjang's perfect balance of saltiness and savory flavor was the best!!

It reminded me of the escargot I recently had as an appetizer at Yountville, a French dining restaurant.

I guess snails in Korea are Ureong (freshwater snails)?

The escargot had plenty of herbs,

and the combination of the snail's texture and the herbs' fragrance seems to be the same on opposite sides of the world.

This picture is just to show off hehehe. It's grilled croaker.

Love my son and daughter

For dinner, we had Kimchi Pork Stew!

The seasoned bellflower roots that came as a side dish were unique and delicious~

Second Meal: Abalone Soy Sauce Marinated

At Sea Abalone, the abalone marinated in soy sauce wasn't too salty and had a delightfully crunchy texture~

You should eat plenty of the abalone liver sauce; it's delicious!

After lunch, we strolled through Ssanghwa Tea Street

and ended up going into a shop unexpectedly.

The interior was much more abundant than the exterior suggested.

We were served apples and pears as refreshments,

along with grilled garaetteok (rice cake) with ssanghwacha extract.

For drinks, we ordered Ssanghwa Affogato and Jujube Tea.

The affogato was seriously delicious!

It was another unexpected delight.

Interesting image Dreamlike moment

I took a walk and visited Naejangsan Mountain, famous as a fall destination.

Visiting temples is one of the joys of domestic travel.

Naejangsa Temple

The maple tree tunnel connecting Naejangsa Temple to Naejangsan Mountain alleviated the fatigue of driving!!

Modern people can recharge just by driving.

Yangja River

For dinner, we packed Bibim Jjampong (spicy seafood noodles) and Stir-fried Sweet and Sour Pork to eat at our accommodation.

I regretted not eating it at the restaurant.

The accommodation was so nice that I didn't feel too tired from the trip.

The air in Jeongeup also played a part~

It seems autumn is truly the season for domestic travel!
