Jeju Island's Eastern Citrus Experience: Bomewa Mountain Tangerine Farm & Cafe
3 Mirae-ro, Jocheon-eup, Jeju-si, Jeju-do

Looking for a place to enjoy both tangerine picking and a cafe experience during your trip to the eastern part of Jeju Island? I found Bomewa Mountain Tangerine Farm in Jocheon-eup! They're open for the early-ripening tangerine season and also run a beautiful cafe.
I went there immediately, and while I expected it to be fun, I was surprised by how enjoyable it was. The tangerines were so sweet and delicious that I felt like I didn't need a meal afterward!

1. Bomewa Mountain Tangerine Farm in Eastern Jeju
Bomewa Mountain is located in Wasan-ri, Jocheon-eup, about 35-40 minutes by car from the airport. It's close to popular tourist areas like Hamdeok, Gimnyeong, and Woljeongri, making it easy to combine with other attractions in the east.
Parking is available in front of the Jeju tangerine experience cafe building or down the road to the left of the building, where there's a parking lot within the farm. There's plenty of space up to Parking Area 3, so parking is not a concern. All visitors can park comfortably.

2. Jeju Tangerine Experience: Costs and Admission
After parking in the farm parking lot, I headed to the information center. To enter the tangerine field, you need to purchase a ticket at the cafe and submit it. So, I moved to the cafe to buy a ticket (20-30 seconds walk).
Tickets can be purchased at the kiosk. The machine is located opposite the cafe menu order/pickup counter.
The cost of the Jeju tangerine picking experience varies depending on the option:
Per person:
✅1kg harvest + unlimited tasting: ₩9,000
✅2.5kg harvest + unlimited tasting: ₩18,000
✅Admission only: ₩5,000 (minimum of one basket experience per party)
My husband and I bought two 1kg basket tickets, took the printed tickets, and headed back to the information center at the farm entrance. After handing over the tickets, we received an explanation of how to pick tangerines and the necessary equipment (scissors, basket) before heading to the tangerine field.
3. Picking Early-Ripening Tangerines and Unlimited Tasting
On October 28th, when I visited, both the very early-ripening tangerine and early-ripening tangerine fields were open, allowing me to roam around the entire farm and enjoy the Jeju tangerine experience. I tasted and harvested both the sour very early-ripening tangerines and the sweet early-ripening tangerines.
(From November, the main variety for the Jeju tangerine experience is the seasonal early-ripening tangerine.)
Personally, I found the early-ripening tangerines to be sweeter and more delicious. It wasn't just me; my husband seemed to agree, as he picked and ate them as if he were going to devour an entire tree!
He said they were the sweetest and most delicious tangerines he had ever eaten, and he ate over 20 on the spot. It was hard to stop! I also repeatedly picked a tangerine, put it in my basket, and then picked another to eat.
Note that tangerine peels from tasting should be discarded in designated areas. Bomewa Mountain Farm is well-managed, and everyone needs to follow the rules to ensure a clean and pleasant environment for all visitors.
The trick to Jeju tangerine picking is to cut the tangerine stem as short as possible with scissors to avoid damaging other tangerines with protruding branches. The owner shared a tip for choosing delicious tangerines, which I'm happy to share with you:
Trees with tangerines that birds have pecked at are the most delicious! After hearing this, I harvested and compared tangerines from several trees, and the tangerines from trees visited by birds really did taste better!
I filled my basket with tangerines from trees that suited my taste and finished the Jeju tangerine picking experience! I knew that what I was taking wouldn't last a day, so I also ordered 10kg to be delivered home. When they run out, I'll have to call and order more throughout the winter.
4. Other Activities on the Farm
Bomewa Mountain Tangerine Farm offers many other activities besides tangerine picking, making it a great place to spend time. In particular, there are various beautiful photo spots created by nature, making taking pictures a lot of fun.
You can also rent props for shooting at no extra cost. From Jeju tangerine hats to green tangerine hats, straw hats, and headbands, you can choose what you like.
There are also hammocks, tables & chairs, swings, and a sand playground, creating well-maintained rest and play areas. Seeing children and the elderly relaxing and playing in the warm autumn sunshine warmed my heart.
5. Tasting the Jeju Tangerine Experience Cafe Menu
I wanted to relax a little more in the cafe, so I sat by the ocean-view window. If you have an experience ticket, you can get a 10% discount when ordering from the cafe menu, so be careful not to lose it! All the menu items are unique, making it the perfect place to relax and enjoy the view.
My husband and I ordered Hallabong tea and an ice cream latte, alternating between hot and cold, and finished our date. Bomewa Mountain boasts a larger scale and cleaner environment than any other Jeju tangerine experience farm. Every winter, I've gone tangerine picking all over Jeju Island, but now I plan to settle here. I was very satisfied with being able to harvest and eat high-quality tangerines at a reasonable cost.
