Introducing the Sunseong Value Life Center and Sunseong Firefly Library
Today, I would like to introduce a library and an additional facility designed for the residents.
This facility is called the Sunseong Value Life Center, which serves as a basic living support center. Are you curious about what it is? Let's take a look together.
The 'Sunseong Firefly Library' is located inside the Sunseong Value Life Center.
The center was established to improve rural living environments and revitalize the local community.
Utilizing the former Sunseong Administrative Welfare Center building, it was officially completed in October 2025, making it a relatively new facility.
Selected as a project by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs in 2020, the center includes various facilities such as a small library, a senior lounge, club rooms, and a shared kitchen, all designed for community use. There is also a spacious parking lot in front of the building for convenience.
Seeing the exterior of the newly constructed Value Life Center, I was surprised by its larger size than expected.
The 'Sunseong Firefly Library' is located on the first floor of this two-story building.
In addition to the library on the first floor, various facilities are available on the second floor.
The 'Sunseong Firefly Library' provides a cozy space for local residents to access books and enjoy culture.
If you are a member of the Dangjin City Library, you can conveniently use the borrowing and returning services here.
While it is not large, there are books available for both children and adults.
As a result, it has become a beloved space for residents to comfortably stop by, read, and communicate.
As you can see in the photos, there is a space where children can sit comfortably on the floor to read, which I believe is very useful for parents.
Though not captured in the photos, there is also a small standing area for the general public, so I encourage you to visit.
The interior of the building, aside from the library, is quite clean and well-maintained.
Being a building completed in 2025, it features a tidy design.
The first floor includes a shared laundry room, senior lounge, and shared kitchen, while the second floor has a fitness room and a multipurpose auditorium, all appearing to be versatile for various uses.
Additionally, the restrooms are also well-equipped, so if you have the opportunity to visit, I recommend checking it out.
Today, I introduced the 'Sunseong Value Life Center' and the 'Sunseong Firefly Library' located in Sunseong-myeon, Dangjin City.
