On December 17, the Sinan County Public Nursing Hospital visited the villages of Jara 1 and 2 in Anjwa-myeon.
They conducted a mobile healthcare service for the island residents.
More than ten medical professionals, including doctors and nurses, participated in this outreach.
They provided practical public healthcare services such as:
- ✔️ Patient consultations
- ✔️ Health counseling
- ✔️ Medication guidance
- ✔️ Nutritional IV support
Additionally, they distributed promotional materials to raise awareness about dementia, supporting the residents' healthy daily lives.
Considering the high proportion of elderly residents, the program included tailored health education focused on lifestyle improvements and chronic disease prevention.
The satisfaction among the residents was notably high.
An 81-year-old resident, Ms. Lee, shared, "After receiving acupuncture and IV treatment for my long-standing knee pain, I feel much better. I'm grateful that the doctors came directly to our village; it gives me peace of mind."
The Sinan County Public Nursing Hospital has also conducted a two-day medical service in Hongdo in September, continuing its commitment to public healthcare for island communities.
A hospital representative stated, "As a public healthcare institution responsible for the community, we will expand our regular mobile healthcare services, particularly in island areas, to address healthcare gaps."
The warm outreach of the Sinan County Public Nursing Hospital continues, bringing healthcare closer to the people despite geographical challenges.
