Arrival and First Impressions

Snow-covered entrance view of Gochang Anti-Aging Healing Land in winter.

Hello!!

Are you spending more time at home this winter?

This time, I visited Gochang Anti-Aging Healing Land, a place where the whole family can rejuvenate both body and mind during the winter.

Located at the foot of Wudusan Mountain, this forest complex is about 1,046m above sea level.

Parking and Ticketing

I visited the healing land with a friend on a weekday.

We drove there, and since it was a weekday, there was plenty of parking available.

Please note that the facility is closed every Tuesday.

After parking, you will find a restroom just a short walk up. A restroom before hiking is a must!

The ticket booth is right there.

The fee is 3,000 KRW, and it's free for families with multiple children and local residents.

Please bring your ID.

Forest Experience Area for Children

Children enjoying the forest experience area at Gochang Anti-Aging Healing Land.

There's a forest experience area where our kids had a great time playing.

Seeing them laugh and play in nature is truly healing.

There are also several playgrounds for young children.

Gyeonam Waterfall Trail Walk

While waiting for another friend, we decided to take a stroll along the Gyeonam Waterfall Trail.

They are currently building a forest experience area here as well, but it seems to be unavailable at the moment!

I think we should come back in spring to let the kids play there.

I noticed more forest experience areas being developed all around.

I can't wait for spring to arrive!

Healing Walk to the Waterfall

The path to the waterfall is truly a healing course.

As we walked along the gentle trail, we spotted a cute little table.

I imagined enjoying a delicious lunch and a warm cup of coffee there.

As we walked slowly, we finally reached the waterfall!

Winter mountains have their own charm.

The ice waterfall is magnificent.

I stood there mesmerized for quite a while.

With the snow, the healing land looks even more beautiful.

Hike to the Suspension Bridge

Now, we head up the stairs towards the suspension bridge.

I am a bit slow, so it took me about 30 minutes to climb, but my friends reached the bridge in just 15-20 minutes.

The weather was so nice that the hike was enjoyable and refreshing.

The incline isn't steep, so even beginners like me can manage it!

Arrival at the Suspension Bridge

When we finally arrived, the suspension bridge came into view!!

The snowy mountains reveal a different charm.

I felt so refreshed and happy.

Please note that the operating hours of the suspension bridge vary between winter and summer.

Upon reaching the bridge and taking in the scenery, I felt a sense of exhilaration.

Final Thoughts

Don't huddle inside during the cold winter; take a light walk and enjoy the winter landscape.

Walking along the forest path lightens the heart. How about healing in this place where wind, sunlight, and greenery come together?

I highly recommend Gochang Anti-Aging Healing Land for a fun and joyful family outing.
