I recently returned from a 6-night, 8-day trip to Vietnam. My suitcase, which was quite empty when I left, was bursting at the seams upon my return.
That's why I decided to use a Kakao Taxi from Incheon Airport to get home comfortably. I regretted not trying it sooner! Today, I'm going to share my experience with this airport taxi service.
My flight arrived at Incheon Airport before 6 AM. Exhausted, and burdened with a suitcase, a duffel bag, and a backpack, I couldn't imagine making my way home on my own. Knowing that I had a taxi pre-booked was such a relief. I regretted not discovering this convenient option earlier.

It was a bit quiet, perhaps due to the early hour. The sight of Korea upon arrival was beautiful, but I was quickly greeted by a gust of wind. Why did it suddenly get so cold? Shivering, I headed to the taxi pick-up area.
Because I booked through KakaoTalk, I received a notification upon arrival. The taxi was already at the airport, waiting for me! What a welcome message! I quickly made my way to the designated meeting point.

I received a notification as soon as I applied with my arrival date. The message included the car type, license plate number, driver's name, and phone number.
I headed to the designated pick-up area. It turns out this area is off-limits for valet parking.
Before discovering airport taxis, I usually used valet parking. However, for a trip like this one, lasting 6 nights and 8 days, the valet parking fees can be quite high. Plus, the thought of driving home exhausted was daunting. Safety comes first, so I decided to use an airport taxi.

The taxi was already waiting for me at the meeting point. The driver greeted me with a warm smile and asked how my trip was before loading my luggage. He even joked about the increased weight of my suitcase! I got in, and all that was left to do was relax on the way home.

The front passenger seat was pushed all the way forward, providing ample legroom. The back seat was incredibly comfortable, spacious enough even for larger individuals. The interior was spotless, which I greatly appreciated.
Departure for Home
The warm air inside the car was welcoming. The driver had turned on the heater for me, knowing I was cold in my light clothing. I was touched by his thoughtfulness in asking about my trip and making sure I was comfortable.
After a few words, I drifted off to sleep. The driver drove carefully and safely, allowing me to enjoy a restful nap in the plush back seat. I woke up surprised to find that we were almost home. It felt like I had only closed my eyes for a moment!
While Vietnam was mostly rainy due to a typhoon during my trip, Korea welcomed me with beautiful autumn weather. The sky was so beautiful, and I exchanged comments about the lovely autumn sky while enjoying the scenery.
Drivers know that they often miss the beautiful scenery because they have to concentrate on driving. Not having to drive allowed me to fully appreciate the beauty of autumn.
Why I Use Incheon Airport Taxi
The main reason I use Incheon Airport Taxi is convenience.
With a simple KakaoTalk reservation, I can arrange transportation from my doorstep to the airport, or from the airport back to my doorstep! Not having to lug around heavy luggage and avoiding the fatigue of transfers or driving are the biggest advantages.
Secondly, it's comfortable.
Convenience and comfort are different things, right?
Being able to travel to and from the airport without the stress of driving is great. Of course, I have to address the cost. It's not cheaper than airport buses or valet parking. However, if comfort, time-saving, and convenience are important to you, I would choose the taxi even if it costs a bit more. What about you?
