Gyeongju Trip: A Nostalgic Journey and Thrilling Theme Park Adventures
It's been ages since I last visited Gyeongju – not since that school trip to Bulguksa Temple back in elementary school!
Excited, I carefully picked out my outfit and put on my best makeup before heading to Gwangmyeong Station.
The KTX (high-speed train) always makes me a bit nervous… I haven't ridden it enough to feel completely comfortable. But I'm being brave!
Since I left home on an empty stomach, I treated myself to a donut for a sugar rush. Krispy Kreme is definitely better than Dunkin'!
Arrived! It's so hot. Waiting for the train to arrive.
Boarding! The first time I rode, I had to ask someone to help me find my car and seat, but this time I found them all by myself! Good job, me!
The ride took about an hour and 45 minutes, and I finally arrived in Gyeongju! My first impression was how surrounded by mountains it is. So green and lush… and the sky is so blue.

I've been to Lotte World and Everland countless times, but this was my first time at Gyeongju World. And honestly? It's even better! Lots of thrilling rides, and since it's not too big, you don't waste time getting around! It was hot, but still so much fun. I want to come back sometime when the weather is cooler, even if I have to come alone.
Draken was seriously amazing! Personally, I enjoyed it more than T-Express. I love the dragon theme, too!
That feeling of my heart pounding right before the ride, the dopamine rush… I haven't felt that in a while.
I also rode Krak? (Not sure of the spelling). It was okay, but it had some after-effects… I felt a little dizzy and tired after getting off. (Or maybe I'm just getting old? I don't know!)
I randomly saw a huge tree. It was so beautiful and serene that I knew I had to take a picture! I wonder how old that tree is.

I was hungry, so I went to grab some food. There was a bit of a wait, but they called my name quickly, so I got in faster than I expected.
I enjoyed the food!
I took a picture while driving because the alley was so pretty. Everything in Gyeongju is pretty!

Highly recommend…!! There are people who give tours here, but I didn't sign up for one, so I just walked around and looked at things. I want to come back and take the tour sometime.
I didn't really notice it when I was younger, but now I think these patterns are beautiful. The curves of the roof tiles are so pretty… to be a bit dramatic, I even want to live in a traditional Korean house someday! It's so beautiful. ^^

These pretty lotus flowers haven't fully bloomed yet, but the colors are so beautiful! I want to see them when they're in full bloom.
The next day, I had Korean beef tartare with soy sauce bibimbap and chicken stew for lunch. This is the bibimbap. I'd definitely come back if I visit Gyeongju again.
This pretty café would be even more atmospheric at night. I want those floating lights!

I'm here to catch the KTX, the 4:50 PM train. The trip felt shorter than I expected, but it's still a part of my memories, so I'll cherish it. It was tiring and exhausting because of the heat, but Gyeongju is such a beautiful place, and I want to come back… yeah.
