On a late autumn day with pleasant sunshine, I visited Goljeong Reservoir in Dangjin with my camera and drone. Goljeong Reservoir, also known as Goljeongji, is a popular destination in Dangjin.
In spring, the cherry blossoms bloom along the reservoir's perimeter, attracting many visitors from across the country. Now, in late autumn, Goljeong Reservoir is adorned with colorful foliage and chrysanthemums, marking the end of autumn.
Let me introduce Goljeong Reservoir in Dangjin, a great place to visit at night thanks to its well-installed lighting.
It was mid-November, and as late autumn approached its end, the maple trees were tinged with red and yellow, and the ginkgo leaves transformed into a vibrant yellow. The large ginkgo trees growing at Goljeong Reservoir also showcased their stunning autumn attire.
When I visited in spring, I was so captivated by the cherry blossoms that I didn't realize how beautiful the ginkgo trees were. I would definitely recommend Goljeong Reservoir as a fall tourist destination.
The ginkgo trees were just past their peak, and with each gust of wind, they released a shower of yellow leaves. The fallen leaves on the ground created a romantic autumn ambiance.
On the day I visited, the weather forecast was good, with no wind, allowing me to capture the clear reflections in Goljeong Reservoir. Usually, lotus flowers grow in the reservoir during summer, making reflections impossible. I wonder if they cut all the lotus leaves in the fall?
It was quite fascinating as I took pictures.
Thanks to this, I was able to capture wonderful reflection photos of the colorful autumn foliage behind Goljeong Reservoir and the octagonal pavilion in the middle of the reservoir.
Goljeongji offers beautiful cherry blossoms in spring, elegant water lilies in summer, and late autumn foliage in fall. I'm already thinking about capturing the scenery with snow piled up in the middle of winter. Goljeong Reservoir is a charming place that I fall in love with every time I visit.
The reason I recommend Goljeong Reservoir as a place to visit at night in Dangjin is because of the well-installed lighting around the reservoir. I personally enjoy taking walks at night, and Goljeong Reservoir has well-lit paths and a great walking trail, making it perfect for an after-dinner stroll.
The romantic sight of purple Aster flowers and yellow ginkgo leaves. This special scenery can only be seen in autumn. The lights at Goljeong Reservoir turn on immediately after sunset.
Goljeong Reservoir also provides amenities for residents and tourists, such as exercise equipment, swings, and pavilions along the walking path.
The path leading to the octagonal pavilion in Goljeong Reservoir is also illuminated. Thanks to the lovely chrysanthemums planted along the way, it has become an even more desirable tourist destination in Dangjin.
