Gapyeong Valley Getaway: A Refreshing Summer Escape

Today's the day for our valley trip to Gapyeong!
It's been ages since high school since I last visited a valley.
So excited!
We met at Ori Station and grabbed coffees before heading out.
Do you have a pet with you?
The weather was perfect.
Just right for playing in the water.
Around noon, we grabbed a quick lunch at a rest stop.
And then we left for Gapyeong!
After about an hour and a half, we arrived.
We shopped for groceries at the Hanaro Mart closest to the valley.
It's a bit small, but they have everything we need.
We stopped by the pension to drop off our luggage and then headed straight to the valley!
It's a 5-minute walk from the pension. Great!
I found this valley while searching for deep valleys in Gapyeong.
It has A, B, and C zones,
Divided into deep, shallow, and medium depth areas.
The water is deep and clear.
Life jackets are available for free rental; you just need to provide your phone number.
Life jackets are mandatory; you can't enter without them.
Immediately cracked open a beer, haha.
Terra Light... too bland; not a fan.
We really enjoyed ourselves for two solid hours.
Even if my feet didn't touch the bottom, I wasn't worried because of the life jacket.
Did some diving and gave Song Jung-min a water torture session.
So much fun, lol.

Getting into my mid-20s, even two hours of playing is tiring.
Played without regrets and headed to the pension!
I booked this place immediately because it also showed up when I was looking for valleys.
I immediately got the last room available.
The pension is clean overall,
And the owners (both the husband and wife) are really friendly.
The price is reasonable too.

I prepare the ingredients,
I grill the meat,
I pour the drinks...
I don't eat meat grilled by others, lol.
I'm a good griller, right???♀️
It makes me happy to see them enjoy the charcoal-flavored meat~
We bought 600g of pork belly and 300g of pork shoulder, but
We all have small appetites, so we left about half.
A person who is popular with bugs.
What's your secret, lol?
Came back to the room and had a second round with soft tofu stew and snacks.
I think we drank about 4 bottles of soju.
July 9th, 2025 (Saturday)
Woke up at 7 AM, went outside, and took a walk.
Thankfully, I don't have a hangover.
Dipped my feet in the water to wake myself up, and it's so refreshing.
A local restaurant strongly recommended by the pension owner!
If you're going nearby, you must go!
Many side dishes and delicious.
The beef and bean sprout soup is beyond words.
A true hidden gem!!
Took out coffee and returned home....?♀️
Whenever I go on a trip, I always plan, research, and act as the treasurer.
I think this suits my personality.
Very satisfying Gapyeong trip. End!
