Exploring the Southern Cultural Sports Center: A Hub of Energy and Health

These days, the increasingly hot weather makes us feel sluggish and easily fatigued. During such times, having a light indoor exercise space becomes even more essential.
Today, I visited the Southern Cultural Sports Center, a true 'energy recharge station' responsible for the health and smiles of our community residents. With a spacious and pleasant gym, as well as a multipurpose gym where you can enjoy badminton and table tennis, just being there fills you with vitality—it's truly a 'happiness power plant' for residents. It's perfect for a light workout with parents or for the whole family to focus on health! Shall we explore the hidden facilities together?
As soon as I entered the center's lobby, something caught my eye! The 'solar power generation status board' was lit up. It indicated that the total energy generated today was 167 kWh, and the amount of carbon saved so far reached 134.2 tons. This is equivalent to planting 961 trees, making me feel proud to contribute to the health of the planet while exercising.
The first-floor lobby features a resting area and a selection of books suitable for all ages, making it a great spot to catch your breath or wait for kids’ classes to end. The carefully curated books at the Southern Cultural Sports Center are perfect for passing the time lightly.
In the elevator, there’s a floor guide that helps you utilize the center 200%. It is well organized, offering not only sports spaces but also cultural lecture rooms filled with the joy of learning.
The first floor has spaces such as yoga classes, diet dance, and dance sports rooms, where you can sweat and relieve stress. On the second floor, you can find exciting classes like Nanta and acoustic guitar, along with a fitness training room to strengthen your health.
On the third floor, there are computer training rooms, calligraphy classes, and traditional painting classes to calm your mind. The lifelong learning programs offered by the community are also available, and you can sign up through the appropriate website.
The computer training room on the third floor is neatly organized with PCs and seats, aimed at enhancing residents' digital skills. It is a true 'happiness power plant' that shares the joy and happiness of learning while growing together with the community.
Next, I moved to the second-floor fitness training room, where you can release the day's fatigue and recharge healthy energy! Remember, the center is closed on Mondays and national holidays, so don’t make a wasted trip.
Inside, there’s a clean shoe rack for changing into indoor workout shoes, and residents were actively focusing on their workouts. The treadmills by the windows offer a great view, and various weight machines are well-equipped for strengthening your body. The space is pleasant and well-maintained, making it an inspiring place to start exercising from today.
Before visiting the fitness training room, be sure to check the usage hours and some important notes.
⏰ Fitness Center Hours:

Saturday / Sunday: 06:00 - 18:00
Regular Closure: Every Monday and national holidays

Pregnant women can receive a 50% discount on facility usage fees with appropriate documentation.
There is also an emergency contact list for the fitness center, which is good to keep in mind.
By being considerate and following the rules, we can create an even healthier and more enjoyable 'happiness power plant' for residents. Next to the water cooler in the lobby, there’s a 'tumbler cleaning zone' where residents can easily use their personal cups or tumblers, as the center has implemented a practice to reduce single-use items.
The multipurpose gym is a comprehensive sports space for residents to enjoy various indoor sports like badminton, table tennis, and basketball, regardless of the weather. It is well-maintained, making it perfect for club activities or family workouts.
You can conveniently reserve online through the integrated reservation system of Dangjin City to avoid waiting.
Located right next to the Southern Cultural Sports Center is the 'Haduk Bandabi Swimming Pool,' making it a perfect spot for a day of energizing activities. I recommend starting your valuable journey of maintaining health and protecting the environment at the Southern Cultural Sports Center.
