Exploring the Night Views of Gongju Hanok Village

Located in Gongju, Chungnam, Gongju Hanok Village is beautiful not only during the day but also offers stunning night views.
As darkness falls, the lights hanging under the eaves of the hanoks begin to illuminate one by one.
The glow seeping through the paper windows, the azaleas blooming beautifully among the rocks, and the soft lights under the hanok eaves all come together to enhance the tranquil atmosphere unique to hanoks.
Today, I will show you the night views of Gongju Hanok Village.

A large parking area is available at the entrance of Hanok Village, allowing guests and visitors to the village restaurants to park comfortably.
Additionally, parking is available right in front of the accommodation, making it easy to carry luggage.
[Information Board]
Let’s take a look at the map of Hanok Village.
Next to the parking lot is the management office, and behind it are the group and individual accommodation buildings.
To the right of the parking lot are restaurants, a convenience store, and a foot bath experience area.
The information board indicates alternative parking locations next to the accommodation buildings when the parking lot is full.
[Facilities in Hanok Village]
There is a 24-hour Emart convenience store where you can purchase necessary items.
A unique facility is the fine dust relief resting area, located next to the foot bath experience area, which was not operational during my visit at night.
There is also a playground for children.
The historical experience playground is designed for children, allowing them to enjoy playing while learning about our country's history.
The shaded trees provide a cool environment for play.
[Foot Bath Experience Area]
Operating until 5 PM, I could not use it during my evening visit, but I would like to recommend this foot bath experience area for a future visit.
- Maintains hot water at 38°C to 45°C using 100% Geumgang hot spring water (temperature may vary depending on the weather)

- Guests must wash their feet before entering
- No food allowed

[Night Views of Gongju Hanok Village]
Now, let's appreciate the night views of Gongju Hanok Village.
During the day, the area is lively with tourists, but at night, it becomes quieter, with occasional laughter from guests.
Walking slowly, I felt my thoughts naturally settle.
Since this is a hanok village where you can stay, the atmosphere remains calm late into the night.
Therefore, it is best to enjoy a quiet stroll when visiting.
The rooms visible above are heated with ondol.
The characteristics of ondol include emitting far-infrared rays, helping to prevent colds, with the lower floor being warm and the upper floor cool, clearing the mind.
Rooms built with wood and clay help to expel sweat and impurities, while traditional Korean bedding protects the back and corrects posture.
I remember feeling relaxed and relieved of fatigue when I stayed here a few years ago.
Gongju Hanok Village is designed to provide an experience of traditional Korean heating, using eco-friendly building materials like pine and cedar, making it convenient for stays.
It is an excellent place for family trips, school excursions, and workshops for organizations.
In the village garden, there is a monument commemorating King Hyunjong of Goryeo.
According to history, King Hyunjong gathered with his ministers in Gongju to relieve a thousand worries.
The garden features magnificent pine trees, lotus flowers, and even a bridge to cross.
The LED lotus flower lights illuminate beautifully at night.
Next to the artificial garden, a watermill is actively turning and flowing water.
The area is decorated with elements that blend with nature, creating a tranquil atmosphere.
You can also find traditional village totems that were once only seen in rural areas.
It’s a place where you can fully experience a unique ambiance.
The management office is adorned with lanterns that harmonize well with the hanok atmosphere.
If you want to feel the quiet, warm atmosphere and the comfort of a traditional space, I recommend experiencing the night views of Gongju Hanok Village.
