Exploring the Jincheon Youth Training Center

The Jincheon Youth Training Center serves as a multifaceted cultural space designed to help local youth engage in various cultural, artistic, volunteer, and career exploration activities, fostering their personal growth. It is not merely a place for studying; it offers well-structured programs for youth to participate in hobbies and self-development alongside their friends. This article introduces the facilities I explored during my recent visit.
The center operates from 9 AM to 9 PM on weekdays, until 6 PM on Saturdays, and is closed on Sundays and public holidays. Spanning from the basement to the fourth floor, it features diverse spaces for various programs on each level.
At the entrance, announcements are posted, showcasing invitations for youth to become active participants in the center's activities. As a space operated and enjoyed by youth, initiatives such as the Youth e-um platform, recruitment for youth self-governing bodies, and autonomous club formations are actively promoted.
Starting with the first floor, it houses a multi-program room, video studio, book cafe, and study zone. These facilities provide a welcoming environment where youth can freely visit for recreation and relaxation.
A cafe run by youth is also available, currently recruiting baristas for 2026. Anyone aged 11 to 23 can apply through the youth counselor at the first-floor information desk. They offer a variety of beverages, including chocolate latte, matcha latte, cafe latte, herbal tea, special drip coffee, and americano.
To prevent youth from wandering around PC rooms or entertainment districts, the center has established various recreational facilities within a safe and pleasant public space. Facilities like pool tables and PC zones are designed to make the center an inviting place for youth to hang out without pressure. It would also be beneficial for them to naturally encounter informative programs posted on bulletin boards, such as career counseling and cooking classes.
The costs of visiting PC rooms can be burdensome for some youth. However, the training center is entirely free of charge, making it a popular spot for those with limited pocket money. The bright and clean environment, along with attentive counselors, ensures a well-managed and enjoyable space for youth to socialize and have fun.
In addition to recreational facilities like PC rooms and pool tables, the center is well-equipped with music practice rooms, dance studios, and lounges. These spaces allow youth to engage in noise-generating activities that they often wish to pursue but lack the space for, providing a sense of liberation. The lounges also offer a psychological safe zone where friends can enjoy snacks and chat, highlighting the many benefits of the Jincheon Youth Training Center.
Moreover, the center plays a crucial role as a comprehensive educational and cultural hub. It includes spaces for mentoring youth in need of guidance, creative workshops, club activities, and even a VR sports room, offering a variety of enjoyable activities for youth.
The Jincheon Youth Training Center is a safe and comfortable hideaway that offers high-quality facilities and experiences that cannot be missed. It serves as a platform for youth to meet new friends and mentors, providing valuable opportunities beyond what they encounter in school or academies. I highly recommend visiting this center for all youth.
