As winter vacation begins, many parents are pondering where to take their children this weekend.
I often find myself in the same dilemma.
Today, I visited the Jang Young-sil Science Museum in Asan, a perfect indoor destination for fun and educational experiences during the chilly winter.
Located at the border of Cheonan and Asan, it’s easily accessible from Seoul or the Gyeonggi area, making it a great spot for group trips.
The museum is closed every Monday and operates from 10 AM to 4:30 PM, with a break from 12 PM to 1 PM.
Admission fees are 2,500 KRW for adults and 1,500 KRW for children and teenagers, with discounts available for families with two or more children.

Entering the children's science playground, visitors will find a wealth of engaging experiences.
Some activities are designated for children aged four and under, but generally, preschoolers to early elementary school students can enjoy various fun and educational experiences.

As a science museum, most of the exhibits encourage hands-on exploration, allowing children to learn scientific principles through enjoyable activities.
Time flies as they engage in a wide variety of experiences.

On the second floor, deeper scientific experiences await children from the second grade of elementary school onward.

Moving to the light zone, visitors can start with a sundial experience.
This activity offers a fun and engaging way to understand the solar calendar through the Joseon dynasty's sundials.
