This time, I walked slowly, tasted local dishes, and enjoyed the sunset,
truly healing my spirit.

Walking along the fortress walls, you can breathe in the crisp winter air.
The museum is also worth a visit.

❷ General Kim Jwa-jin's Birthplace
Location: 335-1 Haengsan-ri, Galsan-myeon, Hongseong-gun, Chungcheongnam-do
Winter hours (November to February): 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Summer hours (March to October): until 6:00 PM
Closed Mondays and on public holidays
Free admission / Cultural explanation hours: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
This place is perfect for a quiet stroll while learning about history.
If you visit during the cultural explanation hours, you can gain deeper insights.
Admission is free, so there's no pressure.
❸ Onu-i Restaurant
Location: 26 Naepo-ro 156beon-gil, Hongseong-eup, Hongseong-gun, Chungcheongnam-do
Open Monday to Friday: 11:10 AM – 8:00 PM / Saturday: 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM
You can't miss this place!
A warm bowl of soup completes your winter trip.
❹ Hongseong Sky Tower
Location: 689 Namdanghang-ro, Seobu-myeon, Hongseong-gun, Chungcheongnam-do
Open from 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM, closed Mondays
Admission: 3,000 KRW
* Scenic lighting time: Sunset – 10:00 PM
The view is surprisingly good for just 3,000 KRW.
If you go at sunset, the sea colors are truly beautiful.
At night, the lighting creates a completely different atmosphere.
❺ Café de Hari
Location: 860 Namdanghang-ro, Seobu-myeon, Hongseong-gun, Chungcheongnam-do
Open from 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM, closed Thursdays
Enjoy a cup of coffee at a café with a sea view.
I recommend taking a short break here.
The winter sea visible from the window is quite healing.
❻ Namdanghang Sunset Observatory
Location: 767-19 Namdang-ri, Seobu-myeon, Hongseong-gun, Chungcheongnam-do
Open 24/7
Make sure to visit at sunset.
The moment the sea turns red... you can't help but take photos.
Standing quietly and watching the sea,
you'll understand why Hongseong is a healing travel destination.
❼ Hongseong Namdanghang New Shellfish Festival
Location: Namdang-ri, Seobu-myeon, Hongseong-gun, Chungcheongnam-do
January 17 (Saturday) – February 22 (Sunday)
January and February are the peak season.
If you miss it now, you'll have to wait another year.
Enjoying fresh shellfish in the festive atmosphere
is a unique winter experience.
So, why visit Hongseong this weekend?
