I visited Gijisi Neighborhood Park.

With the help of the Park Management Department of Dangjin City Hall, I entered the address 995 Banchon-ri, Songak-eup into my navigation system, which guided me to the Lotte Castle Apartments.

At the entrance in front of the apartment's barrier, I confirmed my arrival at Gijisi Neighborhood Park.

After parking in the apartment lot, I walked through a barrier that led me up to the park. As I ascended the hill, I spotted the entrance to Gijisi Neighborhood Park on my left.

Upon entering, I took the right uphill path. As I climbed, I noticed stairs to my left.

Finding the barefoot clay path, I realized there were no signs, so I asked a passerby for directions.

After climbing the stairs, I was greeted with a panoramic view of Giji Elementary School and the downtown area of Gijisi.

As I continued up the stairs, I discovered a playground.

Finally, I could see the park itself. I reached the end of the playground and saw signs for the multipurpose plaza, Cheongdan Maple Road, Metasequoia Road, and Ipap Tree Road. Following the path to Ipap Tree Road, I encountered a sign for the barefoot walking trail.

The barefoot trail begins at the playground, and there is a footbath located midway, so I decided to walk there first before taking off my shoes.

The barefoot trail is on the right, while the palm mat for walking in shoes is on the left.

Occasionally, I noticed people walking on the barefoot trail wearing shoes, and I kindly ask everyone to refrain from doing so.

As I walked, I saw a path leading down to Giji Elementary School and a sign indicating a rest area ahead.

After passing the barefoot trail section leading to the stairs, I finally reached the footbath and shoe storage area.

There are two footbaths, and along the path, Ipap trees line the way.

As soon as I placed my feet on the clay path, I thought, 'Oh? It's colder than I expected.' However, after a few steps, I quickly adapted, and I began to feel sensations in the soles of my feet.

The texture of the clay was impressive—soft yet slightly firm, naturally massaging my feet, with the unique warmth and comfort of the earth.

This combination made me feel great throughout my walk.

It was wonderful to feel my feet freed from the confinement of shoes.

As I walked, I felt not only my feet but also my calves and back relaxing, which was fascinating.

The barefoot clay path at Gijisi Neighborhood Park is not just a space for walking but a place to fully experience nature.

With trees surrounding the area, sunlight filtered through just right, and a cool breeze blew, allowing me to focus solely on 'this moment' without any distractions.

The sounds of birds, wind, and rustling leaves created a natural ASMR-like experience, helping me rediscover the leisure I often miss in my busy life.

After visiting the footbath, I walked back toward the playground and felt a disconnect in the barefoot trail from the playground to the footbath.

Although Cheongdan Maple Road wasn't specifically a clay path, it was well-maintained, and according to the map, it seemed to connect in a loop, so I continued walking toward the footbath.

Sunlight poured gently through the maple leaves, casting playful shadows on the ground.

At that moment, I realized I had truly come to heal.

Listening to the sounds of the trees, I felt how busy life can wear down both body and mind. The barefoot clay path at Gijisi Neighborhood Park is a precious space to take a brief respite from daily life.

Spending this time with my child brought me happiness, and at one point, I thought, 'I wish time would slow down a bit.'

Walking this path made my steps slow down naturally, allowing me to gather my thoughts and soften my spirit.

While I was immersed in the warmth of the clay path, I felt a sudden interruption when I encountered the palm mat and concrete surface.

As my feet transitioned from the soft clay to the hard surface, it felt like I was abruptly pulled back into reality, diminishing my focus on walking.

However, this disappointment quickly faded thanks to the blooming daffodils.

When I looked up, I saw the bright yellow daffodils, and the moment I faced that vibrant color, my mood lifted.

Perhaps due to the bright energy of yellow, I instinctively reached for my camera. Although the disappointment at my feet lingered, my heart was filled with joy.

At the end, I encountered the footbath again.

The quality of the clay path was excellent, providing a genuine healing experience, and the atmosphere of Cheongdan Maple Road was delightful.

While I felt a bit disappointed by the interruption in the path, the daffodils truly enhanced the ambiance.

The footbath facilities, one of the most crucial elements of barefoot walking, were also very satisfactory.

The area designated for washing feet right after using the clay path was clean, convenient, and spacious enough to accommodate users without waiting.

Thanks to this thoughtful consideration, visitors can enjoy barefoot walking without any burden, significantly enhancing overall satisfaction with the facilities.

Pro tip! I think it would be great to stick to the clay path from the playground to the footbath.

For those needing stress relief, looking for a light workout, or wanting to enjoy nature with family and kids, this is an ideal spot to walk slowly and manage health without overexertion.

In our busy lives, it’s easy to feel both body and mind becoming weary. The barefoot clay path at Gijisi Neighborhood Park is a valuable space to take a brief pause amidst the daily grind.

It felt more like 'a time to restore the body' rather than just a walk, and I found myself wanting to visit regularly in the future.
