Durebong Park is situated at 43 Gongwon-ro, Deoksan-eup, Jincheon-gun, and was established alongside the development of Chungbuk Innovation City. It is a beloved destination for both local residents and visitors to Jincheon. I visited in winter, and the tranquil atmosphere was quite impressive, allowing for a leisurely exploration without crowds.
The park's greatest charm lies in its diverse walking paths. From well-maintained flat trails to slightly uphill paths that offer a chance to enjoy nature, it’s a great place to take a slow walk and unwind.
One of my favorite areas was the deck path that leads to a pavilion at the end, providing a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the scenery after a stroll.
Durebong Park also has numerous resting spots. Whenever I felt tired while walking, I could sit on a bench and take a break, making it a friendly place for elderly visitors and families with young children. I, too, took some time to enjoy the park's views while sitting on the benches.
The park is equipped with exercise equipment, allowing visitors to stretch or do light strength training while enjoying their walk. It is especially popular among local residents in the morning and evening for exercise.
Durebong Park is also pet-friendly, making it an excellent place for a walk with your dog. With its spacious walking paths and grassy areas, it provides a suitable environment for pets to play. However, please remember to follow pet etiquette by bringing waste bags and using leashes.
In summer, Durebong Park hosts various large-scale events, such as festivals, thanks to its wide open spaces and outdoor performance stage. There are many cultural activities for residents and visitors to enjoy, so checking the schedule for performances or events before your visit can enhance your experience.
Throughout the park, there are also sculptures that make great photo spots. The scenery changes with the seasons, providing a beautiful backdrop for pictures. When I visited in winter, the atmosphere was peaceful, but I can imagine it bursting with flowers in spring and lush greenery in summer.
Located in the heart of Chungbuk Innovation City, Durebong Park is an excellent destination to explore while visiting the area. There are various cultural facilities nearby, including the Chungbuk Innovation City Complex Center, which can make your trip even more fulfilling.
Although I found it charming in winter, Durebong Park is a place worth visiting in any season. You can enjoy the budding leaves in spring, the cool greenery in summer, the autumn foliage, and the winter snowscape. On sunny days, the park's beauty against the blue sky is truly stunning, so I highly recommend a visit.
This concludes my introduction to Durebong Park, a must-visit place in Jincheon. I hope you find it appealing! I will return with more wonderful travel news from Jincheon next time. Thank you.
