Exploring Doso Park in Cheonan

With various facilities, Doso Park offers a beautiful walking trail.
Located at 119 Sinbu-dong, Dongnam-gu, Cheonan, Chungcheongnam-do, it is easily accessible, especially with a bus stop nearby.
Upon entering, visitors are greeted by a cute guide stone at Doso Plaza, which was established on April 17, 2017.
Although these spaces may seem ordinary, such markers help visitors learn about the park's history.
Doso Park features a grassy plaza, multipurpose sports fields, an artificial rock climbing wall, badminton courts, an outdoor performance area, and a dog playground, along with scenic walking paths.
Many people visit the park to utilize its facilities or enjoy a leisurely stroll. I also walked around the park in a clockwise direction.
The most popular spot in Doso Park is the park golf course, a modern sport that combines golf and park activities, making it a favorite among the elderly.
There is also a short Metasequoia path that showcases beautiful autumn foliage, although one side is currently fenced off due to underground parking construction.
Behind the open area, the artificial rock climbing wall is visible, and during winter, this space transforms into a skating rink and sledding area for children.
The rock garden features coniferous trees, various wildflowers, basalt, and pebbles, creating a lovely autumn atmosphere even without blooming flowers.
The park's walking paths are well-maintained, with multiple resting spots scattered throughout.
Among the Metasequoia trees, the most striking was the one adorned in vibrant red leaves.
Visitors can enjoy poetry along the walking paths, with works by poet Lee Geun-bae and others providing comfort and inspiration.
There are also various exercise equipment available, although some, like the arm exercise machines, were not in usable condition, likely due to lack of maintenance.
The multipurpose sports area includes basketball hoops, accessible to everyone.
On the way to the dog playground, the blue sky uplifted my spirits. Many visitors were enjoying the dog playground, which is divided into two sections based on dog size.
There is a path lined with hibiscus, the national flower of Korea, categorized by flower color.
Currently, only bare trees are visible, but during summer, this area will be filled with blooming hibiscus flowers.
Doso Park is a healing space where anyone can feel connected to nature in the city, featuring seasonal attractions like pink muhly grass and other flowers from May to November.
In the late afternoon sun, the silver grass shimmered, capturing the romantic essence of autumn.
Doso Park in Cheonan provides citizens with ample leisure and relaxation opportunities. With its popular park golf course and dog playground, it offers a clean and enjoyable environment to appreciate the beauty of autumn.
