Ipcchun Good...? It sounds a bit unfamiliar, right?
Ipcchun Good is an agricultural ritual that originated in the past agrarian society!
Not only in Jeju, but also in other regions and countries with a history of agricultural culture,
you can easily find these agricultural rituals!
Examples include China's Daachun and Japan's Setsubun.
The history of Tamna Ipcchun Good dates back to the ancient society when the Tamna Kingdom of Jeju existed.
It is said to be a historically significant custom where the King of Tamna himself performed a ritual of praying for abundance.
Passing through the Tamna era when the king served as a priest, in the Joseon Dynasty,
the governor took on that role and held it as a joint ritual between officials and the people.
It has the same character as Narye in other regions.
The 2025 Eulsa Year Tamna Kingdom Ipcchun Good 'Spring, Has Sprung!' has been going on since the ancient Tamna era.
If you are interested in Korea's traditions and culture, it's worth a visit.
It will be a good opportunity to see what Jeju people do when spring comes and what is special about Jeju's rituals and shamanism!
Please visit!
For more information, please visit the Jeju Arts and Culture Association website!
Location: The event will be held in Jeju City and Seogwipo City, including Jeju Mok 관아, so please check the information above and participate according to the time.
