Sumun Beach has been designated as
an excellent beach by the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries in 2022
for being an accident-free beach since its opening.
Located on the southern coast,
Sumun Beach has a significant tidal range,
making it a great place to enjoy swimming
as the seawater comes up to the sandy shore during high tide.
With its gentle slope and shallow water,
the water temperature is warm,
allowing children to play without feeling cold.
Also,
it's perfect for family trips during vacation season
as you can enjoy mudflat experiences along with the wide sandy beach.
It's a great place to enjoy peacefully
because it is not crowded.
It's a beach that looks refreshing just by looking at it,
making you want to jump in together.
There are spaces near the coast where you can relax,
and there are also pen shell sculptures on display,
befitting the home of pen shells.
You can rent tents at Sumun Beach,
so you can rest for a while when you get tired of playing
or leave your luggage and play comfortably.

the restrooms or showers.
There is also a water facility in front of the building
where you can lightly wash your feet.

at "Jangheung Fisheries Cooperative Dabang" near Sumun Beach,
