Escape the Cold at the National Incheon Maritime Museum

Hello!
This is the Korea Tourism Travel Newspaper.
Even though the Lunar New Year has passed, the cold wave is at its peak.
In this kind of weather, going out is the last thing you want to do.
It's dangerous outside the blanket!
Is there anything better than eating cold tangerines under a warm electric blanket?
I think everyone will agree.
But if I live like that for a day or two, I feel like my body is stiffening up.
For those of you who have a similar personality to me, and for families with children,
you'll understand. Even if the weather is cold,
some of us need to get out and about!
Why not visit the National Incheon Maritime Museum?
Opened on December 11, 2024, in Wolmido,
the National Incheon Maritime Museum boasts clean and pleasant facilities!
Admission is free! However, please note that there is a parking fee of 600 won for the first 30 minutes, 300 won for each additional 15 minutes, with a maximum of 6,000 won per day.
The National Incheon Maritime Museum operates with permanent and special exhibitions.
Here's a brief introduction:
Permanent Exhibition
1. Maritime Exchange History
A space where you can easily and enjoyably learn about the history of maritime exchange from prehistoric times to the present.
2. Shipping and Port Room
A space where you can understand Korea's ports and shipping logistics!
3. Maritime Culture Room
A space where you can understand the lives of people living in relation to the sea, such as fishing activities, maritime beliefs, and maritime art!
Special Exhibition
Special exhibitions are exhibitions that operate for a set period, unlike permanent exhibitions!
The two exhibitions I'm introducing today are both open until March 30th!
1. Opening Commemorative Theme Exhibition [One Sea, Six Perspectives]
A theme exhibition held to celebrate the opening of the National Incheon Maritime Museum!
Come and see the works of six contemporary artists, including artists from the Incheon area.
2. Opening Commemorative Donation Special Exhibition [Smooth Sailing - The Beginning of a New Journey]
A special donation exhibition is a space to introduce the collections of those who donated maritime heritage for the opening of the National Incheon Maritime Museum!
In addition to these exhibition facilities, there is also a children's museum that children will love,
and various activity areas are prepared, so I highly recommend you visit!
