Donggang Naengmyeon Gukbap: A Hidden Gem in Jincheon

Today, I'm introducing Donggang Naengmyeon Gukbap, located in the Sincheok General Industrial Complex in Iwol-myeon, Jincheon-gun. This restaurant was newly selected as a model restaurant in Jincheon-gun for the first half of 2025. It offers a variety of Korean dishes, including naengmyeon (cold noodles), gukbap (rice soup), stews, and pa-bulgogi (scallion bulgogi).
Iwol Donggang Naengmyeon Gukbap is somewhat hidden, making you wonder if there's even a restaurant in this area. However, it has a spacious parking lot, which is a big plus. It's located 12km from Jincheon-gun Office. The address is 554-13, Ideok-ro, Iwol-myeon, Jincheon-gun, Chungcheongbuk-do, so please keep that in mind if you're driving.
Upon entering the restaurant, the first thing I noticed was the Jincheon-gun Model Restaurant plaque. Jincheon-gun Model Restaurants are businesses with excellent facilities, hygiene, and service, and that practice good dietary habits. They are directly designated and managed by the county, so you can eat with confidence.
The restaurant's interior has tables and chairs, and there were plenty of tables, making it suitable for large groups. While I was eating, many people came alone, probably drivers or people getting off work from nearby companies.
Looking at the menu, there's a variety of food available, including naengmyeon, gukbap, and meat dishes. I ordered the pork gukbap, which is perfect for the chilly weather these days. It's hard to find a restaurant where you can get a bowl of gukbap for 7,000 won these days. The portion is generous, the taste is great, and the price is reasonable, so there's no reason not to come. All other menu items can be ordered for one person, but pork pa-bulgogi can only be ordered for two or more people.
Looking at the origin of the ingredients, many of them are domestic, including pork, rice, offal, and dried radish greens. It's hard to believe that you can eat food made with domestic ingredients at this price.
When you order, the side dishes are set right away. They are all good to eat with gukbap. The owner must be talented because the side dishes were also delicious and kept me coming back for more.
The pork gukbap comes out boiling hot, and it's not heavily seasoned, which is a big plus for me because you can add seasonings to your liking.
You can add salt, pepper, sesame seeds, salted shrimp, and chives to your liking, all of which are placed on each table. The portion was surprisingly large, so I was able to have a filling meal.
This pork gukbap, with so much meat and a generous portion, is only 7,000 won. It's a price that's hard to find in this era of high prices, making it a Jincheon restaurant worth visiting. Donggang Naengmyeon Gukbap is open from 9 AM to 9 PM every day, with a break time from 3 PM to 5 PM. You can pay with Jincheon Love Card, Jincheon Love Gift Certificate, and Zero Pay, and you can also receive a 10% discount. So, be sure to visit Donggang Naengmyeon Gukbap in Iwol, Jincheon, which has good parking and reasonable prices.
