Dog-Friendly Jeju Island: Part 3 - Exploring Seogwipo with Your Furry Friend

Already Part 3?!
Jeju Island has many restaurants and cafes that welcome dogs.
Perhaps because it's a popular travel destination, most people seem happy to coexist with our furry companions without showing any discomfort.
The warm welcome and affection shown to our dogs motivate us to be extra mindful of etiquette.
Hoping for more spaces where we can all be together!
Today, I'll introduce you to some more great places.
1. Pyoseon Beach
Address: 40, Pyoseon-ri, Pyoseon-myeon, Seogwipo-si, Jeju-do (615, Minseokhaean-ro)
This address leads to the free parking lot right in front of the beach.
While dogs aren't allowed to swim in the water, it's a fantastic place for a beach walk.
There are showers and foot-washing stations nearby, and the sand is soft, making it perfect for zoomies!
2. Jeju Folk Village
Address: 631-34, Minseokhaean-ro, Seogwipo-si, Jeju-do (40-1, Pyoseon-ri, Pyoseon-myeon)
After making some calls to check, I found out that Jeju Folk Village is dog-friendly!
(Open-minded Jeju...?)
I was skeptical at first, but it's true! Jeju Folk Village allows dogs, and they even offered a 30% discount to dog owners on International Dog Day. Don't forget your poop bags!
3. Jeju Daehan Ranch (Holly Land)
Address: 19, Harye-ro 620beon-gil, Namwon-eup, Seogwipo-si, Jeju-do
If you asked me where I'd go if I could visit twice or three times, this would definitely be the place.
I'd rate it as the #1 healing spot in Jeju Island.
The coffee isn't particularly amazing, but the indoor/outdoor areas are dog-friendly, and the whole place is just pure relaxation.
Perfect with parents, friends, or a partner – it's simply wonderful!
Even the lack of internet is a plus...
4. Jeju Myeongga Duruchigi Seogwipo Olle Market Branch
Address: 495, Taepyeong-ro, Seogwipo-si, Jeju-do
I called ahead because we were hungry, and they said it was okay if my dog didn't bark too much. So, I brought him in his stroller.
I'm not sure if it varies depending on the day or if it's only allowed for quiet dogs, so please call before visiting.
As for the taste... the meat was good, but... I'll just leave it at that. I don't know, I probably won't go back... But anyway, I did visit with my dog, so....
5. Seogwipo Hyangto Oil Market
Address: 18-5, Jungangandong-ro 7894beon-gil, Seogwipo-si
I rushed over early after hearing that's the best time to go, but it turned out to be a small market.
Unless you're living here and need to buy ingredients, there's not much to see...
The line for the mugwort (ssuk) hotteok was incredibly long, but it wasn't mind-blowing. It had a hint of mugwort flavor and was tasty because it was freshly made.
It wasn't too crowded, but due to the nature of the market, I recommend using a carrier or stroller for your dog to prevent them from being stepped on. There are also places to eat.
Today, I've documented more dog-friendly places, cafes, and restaurants in Jeju Island.
I hope this helps you plan your trip to Jeju with your dog! I'll be back in the next installment with more recommendations!
