Discovering the Tranquil Beauty of Jadra Forest

Online Community
There are days when I prefer a quiet forest to a large tourist spot filled with dazzling sights, wanting to enjoy a private moment just for myself.
Located in Uljugun, Ulsan, 'Jadra Forest' is still relatively unknown to many, making it the perfect place to savor the serene atmosphere of a winter forest.
In the refreshing cold air of February, I invite you to Jadra Forest, where you can clear your mind and immerse yourself in nature.
Metasequoia Path
As you enter Jadra Forest, the first thing that catches your eye is the long stretch of Metasequoia trees.
In winter, the bare Metasequoia trees create a dreamlike atmosphere with their unique and solitary silhouettes.
The narrow path between the trees may not be long, but it serves as a perfect photo spot where you can capture picturesque scenes from any angle.
If you visit during the late afternoon as the sun sets, the long shadows cast by the trees provide an even more emotional backdrop for your photos.
Gentle Forest Trail
'Jadra' is a pure Korean term referring to the gentle slopes of low mountains, and true to its name, this area features very mild inclines.
You can comfortably explore the forest in regular sneakers or casual shoes, without the need for heavy hiking gear.
There are no strenuous trails that leave you breathless, making it the ideal walking path for couples to hold hands and chat leisurely.
Thanks to the transformation of a former mulberry field into a forest, the terrain is not rugged, allowing you to enjoy a relaxed stroll and embrace the forest's energy.
Winter Pond
At the center of the forest lies a small yet charming pond that adds depth to your walk.
Though the vibrant lotus flowers have wilted, the dry stems left on the water surface showcase a unique vintage charm typical of winter.
As you stroll slowly around the pond, where a thin layer of ice may form, the noise of the city fades away, leaving only the sounds of the wind and birds.
Sitting on a bench and gazing at the calm water can clear your mind, providing a refreshing experience.
Play Area in the Forest
On one side of the forest, unique play facilities that preserve the natural terrain catch the eye.
Although designed for children, the wooden playgrounds blend seamlessly into the forest, evoking a sense of childlike wonder in adults.
Constructed from wood and ropes instead of colorful plastic, these facilities create an unusual landscape without disturbing the forest's beauty.
Photos taken on the swings of the playground against the forest backdrop can surprisingly evoke a hip vibe, making for a great addition to your social media.
