When people think of Busan, they often picture Gwangalli or Haeundae Beach. :)
But to truly experience the beauty of Busan's sea, I highly recommend visiting "Gijang"! ❤️
So, let me introduce you to three fantastic coastal courses in Gijang where you can genuinely feel the Busan sea!
01. Haedong Yonggungsa Temple
86 Yonggung-gil, Gijang-eup, Gijang-gun, Busan (Admission: Free)
Yonggungsa Temple is famous as a sunrise spot every New Year.
It was first built during the Goryeo Dynasty and was called 'Bomunsa' Temple. However, it was destroyed during the Japanese invasions and rebuilt in 1930 during the Japanese colonial period.
Yonggungsa Temple creates a spectacular view harmonizing with the ocean scenery!
At the entrance, the twelve zodiac animal statues greet you. :)
It's a popular photo spot to find the animal representing your birth year and take a picture!
Passing through a narrow path, you'll be greeted by the refreshing, deep blue East Sea.
The rocks supporting Yonggungsa Temple are columnar joints formed by volcanic activity during the Cretaceous period and long years of weathering, making them geologically significant.
Isn't every spot in Yonggungsa Temple facing the East Sea just stunning?
During sunset, Yonggungsa Temple reveals another mystical appearance!
Be sure to visit even in winter! 😊
02. Imrang Beach
Imrang-ri, Jangan-eup, Gijang-gun, Busan
The second destination I'd like to introduce is 'Imrang Beach' in Gijang.
Located in Jangan-eup, Gijang-gun, it's a charming and cozy sandy beach. :)
Although this beach is smaller than others, it's known for its fine sand, making it a popular spot for barefoot walks.
Can you feel the deep blue winter sea?
The promenade next to the beach is well-maintained, making it perfect for a stroll with the scent of the sea and the sound of the waves as your background music. 😊
03. Jukseong Dream Set
134-7 Jukseong-ri, Gijang-eup, Gijang-gun, Busan
The third place I'd like to introduce is the "Jukseong Dream Set" located in Jukseong-ri, Gijang.
Here, a small building resembling a church was built as a filming location for the drama 'Dream'.
You can capture stunning photos filled with the essence of the sea! Isn't it beautiful? 😍
Here's a tip for taking amazing photos:
"Find an arched frame and take a picture rather than a head-on shot!"
This place makes you feel like you're traveling abroad!
Take pictures, feel the winter sea, and be sure to visit!~!!
