Discovering the Beauty of Crape Myrtles at Jangheung Songbaekjeong

Hello!
This is Jangheung Travel~!
Last July, when I visited <Jangheung Songbaekjeong>, I was disappointed because the crape myrtle flowers hadn't bloomed yet.
So, I came back to see the flowers again, just in time for their blooming season!
Crape myrtle flowers bloom from mid-July to September.
They are called 'Baekilhong' because they bloom beautifully, showing off their splendor and maintaining their beauty throughout the summer!
<Jangheung Songbaekjeong Crape Myrtle Colony> is, as the name suggests, a place where old crape myrtle trees form a colony around a small pond.
Go Young-wan, an independence activist, expanded the small pond of about 50 pyeong in 1934 to beautify the village and planted crape myrtle trees, which were rare at the time!
In addition to crape myrtles, the crape myrtle colony is full of various flowers and trees.
Trees that are over 100 years old form a colony, making it a famous colony representing the country!
Walking along the path by the pond, there is a quiet and shady path, making it a great place to take a walk even in the summer.
A walking path that harmonizes with the crape myrtle flowers that were blooming prettily everywhere.
Beautiful crape myrtle flowers that can only be seen in midsummer.
Come and see them before it's too late!
