The Jangheung JNJ Library is located near the Jangheung-gun Public Health Center and is divided into a main building and an annex.
In the main building, you can borrow and read books, while the annex is primarily a study area.
If it's your first time visiting, please refer to the facility map as the library is quite large.
In front of the library, you can see various stone structures and read excerpts from the works of writers who represent Jangheung.
You can also find the Statue of Peace.
This statue, which evokes a poignant feeling, was erected in the "Forest of Wisdom" in front of the JNJ Library to instill a correct historical perspective in future generations, bearing in mind the words of Danjae Shin Chae-ho: "A nation that forgets its history has no future."
Inside, you can first see books by Han Kang, a Nobel laureate in Literature.
All the materials at the systematically managed Jangheung JNJ Library are available for free viewing. Book loans are only available to library members, so please register for a membership card before using the service.
The first floor of the main building is the children's library, designed with meticulous care to provide a spacious and pleasant environment for children, including a toddler restroom, a sleeping room, and a story room.
And of course, there are plenty of books that children will love!
A separate lounge is also provided for children.
On the second floor, you'll find the Local History Room, which contains materials documenting the history and various aspects of Jangheung-gun.
There are also General Reference Rooms 1 and 2, where you can easily find the materials you want through the material search terminals.
There is also a digital library with 24 computers.
In addition, there are many useful spaces such as a lounge, reading room, and open Nuri room!
At the Jangheung JNJ Library, if you come alone, spend time quietly reading, and if you come with young children, we recommend reading together in the children's library!
