Hello!
This is Jangheung Travel.
Today, I'd like to introduce you to the Jangheung Noble Walnut Museum, where you can see rare noble walnuts.
Located at 56-90 Nambu Tourism Road, Jangheung-eup, Jangheung-gun, Jeollanam-do, the museum is open daily from 10:00 to 17:00.
The Jangheung Noble Walnut Museum was established with private funds to cultivate various breeds of noble walnuts, which have grown naturally only in Jangheung-gun since the Joseon Dynasty, and to preserve related data.
It is also a popular tourist destination, attracting over ten thousand visitors annually and is included in the top 100 tourist attractions in Jeollanam-do.
The museum is divided into themed exhibition halls, from the first to the fourth, and a Noble Walnut Exhibition Hall.
After your visit, you can take a leisurely stroll through the beautiful garden.
Thanks to the fountain and lush plants in the back, you'll feel like you're in a small arboretum.
The first exhibition hall is the "Special Exhibition Hall."
With over 500 noble walnuts on display, you can see a variety of walnuts and antique wooden furniture collected from Jangheung.
Noble walnuts are acupressure walnuts for hand exercise and health.
They were presented to the king as tribute and are registered in the Guinness World Records.
The value varies greatly depending on the size, shape, condition of the engraving, and design of the walnut.
Some of the most valuable walnuts are worth up to 100 million KRW.
Luxurious wooden artworks and walnut crafts are also on display, making it a great place to browse.
Outside the museum, you'll find the second theme, the "Pine Bonsai Art Museum."
You can directly experience the beauty of age, the beauty of waiting, and the beauty of reduction that pine trees and bonsai have cultivated for over 40 years.
Following this, in the third theme, the "Lee Cheong-jun Camellia Room," you can see a sculpture of the writer and his beloved camellia bonsai.
How about visiting the Jangheung Noble Walnut Museum to see the special noble walnuts and take a walk?
