Discover the Marine Theme Experience Center in Dangjin

During the summer, many of us seek cool indoor travel destinations.
Today, I would like to introduce the Sapgyoho Marine Theme Experience Center, a recommended indoor summer vacation spot in Dangjin.
Located right next to the Sapgyoho Sea Park, it makes for a great combination to explore both places together.
In front of the beach, two retired naval ships proudly sit in the Battleship Park, and adjacent to it is the Marine Theme Experience Center, which is perfect for visiting with children.

This interactive exhibition hall caters to all ages, from toddlers to adults.
On the first floor, visitors can experience marine safety and survival, while the second floor showcases the beauty of the ocean and mysterious marine life through various exhibits and hands-on experiences, making it a highly satisfying family travel destination.
First Floor: Learning about Ship Safety
Upon entering the exhibition hall, the first thing that catches your eye is the large Dangjinho ship.
The area is designed to provide a hands-on experience of how to evacuate in case of an emergency on a ship.
Visitors first watch a safety video in the education room, then wear life jackets and participate in a program that simulates an evacuation by sliding down a slide to a lifeboat.
Both kids and adults found it fascinating, and it was a great way to learn safety rules naturally.
The exhibition also displays various ship safety equipment and lifesaving gear, and kids especially enjoyed the experience of using a fire extinguisher to put out a simulated fire.
They could also examine the survival gear and distress signal equipment available on lifeboats, learning survival methods at sea.
Popular Survival Swimming Experience
The most popular activity was the survival swimming experience.
Participants lay on the floor and move their arms as if swimming, guided by a screen, creating the sensation of swimming with sea creatures, which thrilled the kids.
Another intriguing activity was the deserted island survival experience.
This program allows participants to build a house and learn survival skills in a simulated deserted island environment.
Second Floor: Entering the Underwater World
As you follow the blue maze path, it feels as if you've entered a gigantic aquarium.
By placing marine creature cards on a platform, visitors can see their chosen sea life appear on the screen, which captivated the children.
When shining a flashlight on the sardines, they move in schools, creating a stunning visual display.
Impressive Giant Screen Theater
The underwater world presented on a massive 5,500-inch screen was also remarkable.
From giant whales to colossal squids and various fish, the grand visuals and sound left everyone in awe.
Behind the screen, videos exploring the deep sea were also shown, featuring rare deep-sea creatures captured by underwater robots.
The mesmerizing glow of deep-sea jellyfish and the vibrant coral reefs resembled a beautiful underwater forest.
Shark Cage VR Experience
In the experience zone, visitors can enjoy a virtual shark cage experience.
Once inside the cage, it shakes as if you are actually underwater, providing an exhilarating sense of immersion.
This fun experience was enjoyable not just for children but also for adults.
After exploring the Sapgyoho Sea Park, visiting the Marine Theme Experience Center was more than just an exhibition; it was a space to see, touch, and learn through hands-on experiences.
With various contents prepared, from ship safety rules to survival experiences and deep-sea videos, it was a wonderful place to visit with children.
