Cherry Blossom Season in Geochang

Hello! This is Lee Jung-yoon from the Geochang Blog Reporter Group.
April has arrived, bringing the cherry blossom season with it.
Our region, Geochang, is home to many beautiful cherry blossom spots, and Gomshil Deokcheonsuwon is one of the most stunning.
I visited on Sunday, April 5, and the flowers were in full bloom.
Many people came out to enjoy the blossoms, and I noticed quite a few bringing their dogs along.
There is an old cherry tree that has spread its branches wide, creating a canopy over the sky.
The deep pink of the magnolia and the soft pink of the cherry blossoms blend beautifully together.
With cheerful hearts, we took photos of each other, and laughter filled the air, creating a festive atmosphere.
Can you see the unique beauty of Gomshil Cherry Blossoms reflected in the pond, adding to the picturesque scenery?
It seems to create a mystical ambiance when paired with the willows.
Families are also out enjoying the spring day, creating lasting memories together.
I took a selfie to commemorate the day.
By placing my phone on the ground, I was able to capture the flowers blooming against the sky.
There is a beautiful pavilion here.
Deokcheonsuwon is related to the popular movie 'The King and the Clown.'
Do you know why?
That's right! Deokcheonsuwon was built to honor Prince Geumsung, the sixth son of King Sejong, who was executed while plotting to restore the deposed King Danjong, and General Lee Bo-heum.
It was established by Lee Hak-du, the 18th grandson of General Lee Bo-heum.
Learning about the history of Deokcheonsuwon brings a bittersweet feeling.
Such a beautiful place holds such a profound story.
This year is designated as the year of visiting Geochang.
People from other regions have been chartering buses to come and enjoy this place.
We are also holding a Cherry Blossom Travel Snap Challenge.
Give it a try!
I hope to receive the Golden Apple package!
Shots taken from the bridge turned out beautifully. There are three bridges, and many people were taking pictures next to the second bridge.
People were also deeply engrossed in taking photos by the second pavilion.
Remember, photos are what we take away from these moments, so capture as many as you can!
The cherry blossoms bloom beautifully but fade quickly, so don’t miss this fleeting moment.
Otherwise, you'll have to wait a whole year for the next chance.
Let’s embrace the beauty that nature offers this spring.
