Bo Eun Cherry Blossom Festival 2026

The Bo Eun Cherry Blossom Festival has begun!
The blooming period of cherry blossoms varies slightly by region, but at the Bo Eun Cherry Blossom Path, the flowers have just started to bloom as the festival kicks off.
Curious about the festival scene, I visited on the first day and would like to share my experience and updates on the Bo Eun Cherry Blossom Path.
The Bo Eun Cherry Blossom Festival will take place from April 3 (Friday) to April 12 (Sunday) in 2026.
It will be held at the Ium Center and the Bo Cheongcheon Cherry Blossom Path, with parking available at the Bo Cheongcheon lower parking lot.
The theme for the 2026 Cherry Blossom Festival is 'Spring Drenched in Cherry Blossoms,' and visitors can enjoy a 20km stretch of cherry blossom path from Hakrim-ri in Bo Eun-eup to Dalsan-ri in Samseung-myeon.
Here’s a glimpse of the festival area along the Bo Eun Cherry Blossom Path.
The cherry trees form a tunnel, but unfortunately, they are still in bud stage.
Some trees have bloomed about 50%, but rain is expected over the weekend with a slight drop in temperature, so they may not fully bloom just yet. It seems likely that the cherry blossoms will be in full bloom by the end of the second week of April, around the time the festival concludes.
I was continually drawn to the shyly blooming cherry blossoms.
The cherry blossom path features various colorful sculptures, adding to its vibrant appearance.
Although the blossoms have yet to fully bloom, there are plenty of photo zones, making it great for capturing memories.
One photo zone features trees adorned with butterflies, creating a magical atmosphere.
The cherry blossom path is illuminated, allowing for beautiful views even at night.
There are garlands on the trees with warm and lovely phrases like 'Cheering for your bright tomorrow,' and reading them one by one lifts your spirits.
Perhaps due to the warm spring weather, I enjoyed searching for the blooming trees among countless flowers.
Here’s the pink-hued photo zone at Bo Eun Station.
Although there is no actual train station in Bo Eun, a cute photo zone resembling Bo Eun Station has been set up to attract railway interest.
This is a flower tunnel filled with pink and purple flowers. Although it was disappointing that the cherry blossoms have not bloomed yet, the colorful flower tunnel provided some consolation.
There is a picnic zone where you can enjoy food purchased from food trucks.
The charming props create an exciting atmosphere.
There are also flowering trees, contributing to an overall bright ambiance.
No festival is complete without food trucks!
You can savor a variety of foods including churros, tornado potatoes, ice cream, cotton candy, fries, chicken, Chungmu gimbap, takoyaki, chicken skewers, grilled intestines, fish cake, hot dogs, yakisoba, shrimp tempura, steak, and beverages.
The adorable mascots of the Bo Eun Cherry Blossom Path, Spring and Eun, are also a highlight.
According to their introduction, they are fraternal twins born on the same day at the foot of Sobaeksan Mountain, with Spring becoming a ripe jujube and Eun preferring to read plant encyclopedias at home, thus becoming an unripe jujube.
There are many cute merchandise items featuring Spring and Eun available for purchase.
The children’s playground offers plenty of fun activities such as air bouncers, mini trains, ball pits, merry-go-rounds, and drawing experiences.
I encountered spring flowers at the cherry blossom festival venue.
Additionally, daffodils are planted under the cherry trees, and they are expected to bloom beautifully around the same time as the cherry blossoms.
On the first day of the festival, the Bo Eun Cherry Blossom Path was quite serene.
Since the flowers have yet to bloom, there were fewer visitors, but once they do bloom, I anticipate it will be much busier.
In addition, flea markets and various experiences such as horseback riding, cherry blossom train rides, bead bracelet making, cherry blossom tile coaster crafting, and intangible cultural heritage experiences will be held from April 10 (Friday) to April 12 (Sunday).
With a variety of programs and photo zones, the Bo Eun Cherry Blossom Festival is a wonderful place to enjoy the beauty of cherry blossoms and feel the romance of spring.
