Autumn Foliage at Gamsagong Cemetery: A Hidden Gem in Jeju

Autumn Trip to Jeju Island
Gamsagong Cemetery: A Famous Maple Spot in Jeju
Wanting to enjoy the last of Jeju's autumn foliage before winter arrives,
my husband and I stumbled upon the ginkgo trees at Gamsagong Cemetery during a drive.
I'm introducing it because the autumn foliage is so beautiful. Unfortunately,
I think a lot of leaves will fall because of the strong winds today.
If you're traveling to Jeju Island right now,
take a look, you never know. It was so beautiful it brought tears to my eyes when I went.

1. Parking
Arriving at Gamsagong Cemetery, a hot spot for Jeju Island travel these days,
there was no separate parking lot, and as always, I had to park on the side of the road.
During the double cherry blossom season, even this is difficult due to lack of space,
but now it was empty, so I could do it comfortably.
Right across the street is a tangerine field full of Jeju Island vibes.
Occasionally, there are tangerine trees that reach out to the road or sidewalk,
but you know you shouldn't pick them rashly, right? I just took pictures because they were cute.
2. Entrance
The entrance to Gamsagong Cemetery, draped in autumn, was the epitome of romance.
Actually, seeing autumn foliage during a trip to Jeju Island isn't easy,
but I was lucky!
It's also fun to step on the piles of Jeju ginkgo leaves.
I entered slowly, looking at the yellow ginkgo light shining over the stone wall.
3. Autumn Foliage Viewing
As I entered, there were hardly any people and I felt like I was strolling through a park in a quiet atmosphere.
There's also a building that looks like a warehouse on the right,
and Jeju autumn foliage is all over the dirt on the surrounding floor!
No one was there, so I enjoyed it quietly :)
4. Ginkgo Tree
Gamsagong Cemetery, a famous maple spot in Jeju, is basically all about the ginkgo tree you see in the picture.
Gamsagong Cemetery with Double Cherry Blossoms in Spring
In the warm spring, it is crowded with people who come to Jeju Island to see the fluffy double cherry blossoms covering the tomb.
Now it has a calm and relaxing atmosphere. I liked it so much because it felt like autumn.
Even the cold air touching the tip of my nose is lovely!
I was watching from nearby when a couple came on a date, so I kept my distance.
The Jeju ginkgo tree looked even better from a distance.
5. Photo Zone
Walking inside, I saw some trees that hadn't turned yellow yet.
I was amazed at how different the colors of the trees were in a distance of less than 50m.
Compared to the romance of the bright yellow ginkgo trees,
it also felt fresh, and since people hardly came inside,
I could enjoy it more quietly, so it was a great photo zone.
It was a precious time to see the Jeju autumn foliage while listening to the songs of birds in the quiet midst of the wind.
Everything was pretty, from the nameless red flowers blooming on the roadside to the tangerine fields seen over the stone walls.
Head to Jeju Island this week to see the autumn foliage.
Hamdeok Beach, with its blue sea, is nearby, so let's go together.
