– A tranquil moment at 'Sujakburineun Cafe' in Muju –

On the way to Muju, raindrops began to fall on the car window.

It wasn't a heavy rain, but a gentle drizzle that made the windshield misty!

As I headed towards Seochang Village at the foot of Deogyusan Mountain,

I spotted a public parking lot near the entrance and parked the car.

I decided to fold up my umbrella and just walk.

☁️ The Scenery of the Village After the Rain Stopped

As soon as I took a step, the rain miraculously stopped.

The sky was still full of clouds, but the scenery was even more charming.

Clouds hung low on the mountainside, and the fog slowly flowing along the ridge seemed to breathe.

The wet road was covered with fallen leaves, and the rain-soaked leaves clung to my feet.

I walked carefully, worried about slipping, but it was relaxing because there were hardly any cars.

A small pavilion, low stone walls, old country houses, and dewdrops on every blade of grass

showed the tranquil daily life of Seochang Village.

☕ 'Sujakburineun Cafe' – A Space Filled with Care and Leisure

After walking a little further, 'Sujakburineun Cafe' finally came into view.

It wasn't ostentatiously decorated, but its appearance blended naturally with the surrounding scenery was impressive.

I really liked the name 'Sujak'.

It means making something carefully by hand, and it also has a slightly playful feel,

which suited the atmosphere of this village very well.

Inside the cafe, my companions and I ordered two iced Americanos, a Dolce Latte, and a Margherita pizza from the wood-fired oven.

The coffee had a familiar and comforting taste, and the Dolce Latte was sweet and rich, like a dessert.

The pizza baked in the wood-fired oven had a crispy crust, and the acidity of the tomatoes and the mozzarella cheese

brought a smile to my face as soon as I took a bite.

???? Clouds Flowing Outside the Window, and Quiet Time

The inside of the cafe was warm and cozy.

Sitting by the window, I could see the clouds flowing along the ridge of Deogyusan Mountain.

Guests with pets, people reading quietly, and couples drinking coffee in silence.

It was a peaceful space where everyone stayed at their own pace.

The Wi-Fi was good, the bathroom was clean, and above all, the atmosphere was great.

That afternoon, when time seemed to slow down,

a sip of coffee in the air that had cleared after the rain

was more memorable than any other trip.

'Sujakburineun Cafe' was also featured on KBS 〈Korean Food Table〉 Episode 607, which aired on May 11, 2023.

The scene of making handmade bread and wood-fired pizza was impressively captured.

The remaining moisture after the rain, the cloudy sky, the wet stone wall path, and the scent of coffee.

Nothing was particularly special, but that's why it was a more memorable day.
