I love walking while looking at a wide lake. Especially, a lake park near a university feels more special because you can feel the romance of youth and the beauty of nature at the same time.
In Anseo-dong, Cheonan, there are several universities gathered, including Sangmyung University, Baekseok University, Hoseo University, and Dankook University. At the center of it, there is a special place called the symbol of Cheonan's 20s, Cheonhoji Lake Park.
I visited this place in the fall, which was created in 1957 to supply agricultural water and has now been reborn as a resting place and ecological park for citizens.
When you visit Cheonhoji Lake Park, the first thing you see is the suspension bridge-shaped promenade bridge that crosses the lake.
The modern design bridge connected with cables creates a charming landscape that blends well with the lake.
Around it, you can see trees and reed fields dyed in autumn, and beyond the bridge, there are lakes and university buildings.
It seems fun to cross this bridge and look at the lake.
Walking around the lake, you can see a large ginkgo tree.
The yellow ginkgo tree in autumn contrasts with the blue sky and creates a truly beautiful landscape.
There are also red maple trees around, making the colors of autumn even richer. This is a great place to take pictures.
There is a special sign in Cheonhoji. It is a sign indicating the habitat of otters.
This shows that Cheonhoji is not just a lake park, but an ecological space where various wild animals live.
Benches are also provided, so you can sit down for a while and relax while feeling nature. It is meaningful that nature and people coexist.
Walking along the promenade, you can realize the vast size of Cheonhoji.
A wide lake spreads out that is difficult to capture at a glance, and behind it, you can see university buildings and mountains.
In the center of the lake, there is also a fountain that spouts coolly. Around it, trees dyed in various colors add to the autumn atmosphere.
As it is a large reservoir, many natural creatures live there, playing the role of an ecological park.
Continue your walk across the bridge that crosses Cheonhoji.
Fences are installed on both sides so you can walk safely, and trees are densely located around you.
This bridge connects other areas of the lake and is a special promenade where you can feel the lake up close.
The view of the lake from the bridge is truly beautiful.
There is a uniquely designed sculpture around the lake.
This sculpture, which has a leaf-like roof, says 'Cheonhoji Park'.

Another attraction of Cheonhoji is the cool fountain.
The fountain soaring high in the middle of the lake is really wonderful.
Behind it, you can see mountains and university buildings dyed in autumn, and trees of various colors are harmonized around it.
Cheonhoji's night view is selected as the 12th scenic spot of Cheonan, and I think this fountain will create a more beautiful landscape at night with lighting.
Around the lake, there are signs introducing various birds living in Cheonhoji.
Photos and explanations of various birds such as mandarin ducks, coots, spot-billed ducks, and gray herons are written in detail.
Behind it, you can see lotus leaves covering the lake.
As it is a large reservoir, you can see that many natural creatures live there, playing the role of an ecological park.
You can also learn about ecology by looking at these signs, making it a good space for education.
One of the most impressive landscapes of Cheonhoji is the view with university buildings.

The last place I visited was the most special place in Cheonhoji, a wooden deck shelter.
Thanks to the sloping chairs, it is designed so that you can lie down comfortably and relax while looking at the lake.
A large parasol shades the sunlight, and a wooden fence creates a cozy atmosphere.
Behind it, you can see willow trees and cafe buildings, and it would be really nice to relax while looking at the lake from here.
Today, I walked through Cheonhoji Lake Park, which is full of youthful romance.
It was a place where you could feel the wide lake, beautiful autumn scenery, and the vibrant atmosphere unique to the university district.
In particular, Cheonhoji's night view is so beautiful that it was selected as one of the 12 scenic spots in Cheonan, so I should visit in the evening next time to enjoy the night view.
It is a meaningful change that a reservoir created in 1957 to supply agricultural water has now been reborn as a resting place and ecological park for Cheonan citizens.
It was a day that made me realize why the youth of Cheonan love it.
