Today, I'd like to introduce Geumdameun Galbi, a model restaurant in Jincheon known for its charcoal-grilled flavors. Geumdameun Galbi is located in Gwanghyewon, Jincheon, and specializes in Korean beef and handmade pork ribs.

I arrived at Geumdameun Galbi in Gwanghyewon, Jincheon, for a late dinner. There's a parking lot in front of the restaurant, and if there's no parking space, you can use the surrounding alleys. Gwanghyewon is located at the end of Jincheon, 17km from Jincheon County Office, but the roads are well-maintained, so you can arrive quickly by car.

At the entrance of the restaurant, there was a sign indicating it as a model restaurant in Jincheon County. Model restaurants are directly managed by Jincheon County to evaluate hygiene and service levels and to promote healthy diets and food culture.

The interior of the restaurant had tables with chairs, and the spacing between the seats was wide, which was comfortable. Geumdameun Galbi in Gwanghyewon, Jincheon, is open from 4 PM to 12 AM, making it a great place to have a late dinner or a drink. It is closed every Monday, so please keep that in mind.

Inside, there were tables for groups in a room-style space, which seemed great for company dinners.

These days, there aren't many places that give 200g per serving, but Geumdameun Galbi in Gwanghyewon, Jincheon, offered 200g of pork belly for 16,000 won per serving, and handmade pork ribs for 18,000 won per serving. They also sell Korean beef and frozen pork belly, and the prices were reasonable.

Looking at the origin labeling, most of the ingredients, including beef and pork, were domestic, so I could eat with confidence.

If you need more side dishes, you can use the self-service bar, which has lettuce, garlic, and sliced onions that are not included in the basic side dishes, so be sure to use it before eating meat.

As soon as I ordered, charcoal and basic side dishes came out, and the charcoal was so good that I wanted to eat it quickly. The basic side dishes consisted of simple but good dishes to eat with meat, such as green onion salad, salad, and lettuce.

The charcoal fire was so strong that the meat started to cook as soon as I put it on. Pork ribs are the signature menu item, but we wanted to eat pork belly that day, so we ordered two servings of honeycomb pork belly and later ordered one additional serving.

Geumdameun Galbi uses a direct grilling method with charcoal, so you can feel like you're grilling meat while camping, with a crispy exterior and a moist interior.

They usually give sulguk (hangover soup) when you drink alcohol, but since I had to drive, I didn't drink, so I got steamed eggs instead. The steamed eggs were so soft and fluffy, with a clean taste that stayed true to the basics, and it went well with the meat.

I also ordered naengmyeon (cold noodles) for dessert, and the broth wasn't overly spicy, so it was good to add mustard or vinegar to your liking. Geumdameun Galbi in Gwanghyewon, Jincheon, is a model restaurant where you can taste meat with a rich charcoal flavor. While eating pork belly, I was curious about the taste of pork ribs, so I wanted to visit again next time. I hope you visit with your family or loved ones.
