A Stroll Through Autumn: The Ginkgo Tree Path of Gokgyocheon Stream in Asan

Saying goodbye to late autumn with...
...a beautiful wave of yellow.
Located at 502-3 Baekam-ri, Yeomchi-eup, Asan-si, Chungcheongnam-do,
I visited the Ginkgo Tree Path of Gokgyocheon Stream in Asan today.
Though it might have been at its peak a week earlier, I could still see the beautiful yellow waves today.
The Ginkgo Tree Path of Gokgyocheon Stream is a 2.2km-long avenue of ginkgo trees stretching from Chuu Bridge to the entrance of Hyeonchungsa Shrine along Gokgyocheon Stream in Yeomchi-eup, Asan, Chungcheongnam-do. It is characterized by its autumn foliage, car-free zone, and barrier-free accessibility.
Shall we take a walk down the ginkgo tree path together?
▲ Yellow Wave
As soon as I entered the ginkgo tree path, I couldn't help but exclaim in admiration.
Wow~~!!
It was my first time seeing such a large cluster of ginkgo trees, and I had never seen so many fallen ginkgo leaves on the ground.
It was quite crowded with people because it was the weekend.
Parking was difficult, so I couldn't enter the public parking lot and parked on the side of the road where other people were parking.
▲ Food Trucks
All the food trucks look the same.
There were quite a few people, so I just looked around.
The savory smell made me want to grab a snack, but I had just eaten lunch, so I turned away.
▲ Singer
I heard singing at the entrance of the ginkgo tree path and went to check it out.
An unknown singer was singing.
He was taking song requests from visitors on the spot and singing them.
It wasn't my favorite style of music, but I liked that he was lifting people's spirits.
▲ Proper Walking Posture
As I walked, I found a sign that explained the proper walking posture in detail.
I couldn't follow all of it, but I tried to follow the order of stepping.
Heel, sole, and toes, in that order.
There is also a way to donate steps.
When steps are collected, Samsung Display supports the reading culture promotion project to support the dreams of teenagers in the Chungnam region.
It's a great project. I hope I can participate even a little.
▲ Gokgyocheon Stream
Gokgyocheon Stream flows below the ginkgo tree path.
It's a fairly large stream.
The road and walking path are well maintained along the stream, and I saw families riding bicycles and many people taking walks.
▲ Silver Grass
When I crossed the bridge, there was a large field of silver grass.
Some people were going in to take pictures, and many people were walking along the path.
These are scenes that can only be seen in autumn.
▲ Taking Pictures
People were busy taking pictures in the areas where the ginkgo trees were at their peak yellow.
It's fun to watch the children gathering ginkgo leaves and throwing them into the air while taking pictures.
▲ Cafe

▲ Caricature
▲ Rides
There's more than just ginkgo trees along the ginkgo tree path.
On the lower left, there is a cafe facing the ginkgo trees and Gokgyocheon Stream, so the view from the second floor or higher looked very good.
The Asan Hanppyeom Tourism Promotion Center was holding a small painting exhibition.
Unfortunately, it was closed.
On one side, there were street artists drawing young children.
I think they'll draw them like cool actors.
On the other side, there was a place for children to ride amusement rides.
I could hear fun screams coming from the mini Viking and the jumping ride.
▲ Yeohae Naru
As I walked a little further, I saw a fairly large building and went inside.
It's the 'Yi Sun-sin Tourism Experience Center Yeohae Naru'.
This is a space that sheds new light on the human Yi Sun-sin before he became a hero, providing visitors with opportunities for rest and contemplation.
It is said to be a complex cultural space with Yi Sun-sin's sensibilities.
If you walk along the ginkgo tree path and enter, there is a second-floor space with an information desk and the Chungeunyi Goods Shop.
Here, you can find various Asan tourist products and Yi Sun-sin tourist character Chungeunyi.
When I went down to the basement, there was a media art space where I could see Yi Sun-sin's story in three dimensions.
There was also a permanent exhibition hall and a special exhibition hall where I could see Yi Sun-sin's cradle, Asan, and records and monuments containing the roots and spirit of the human Yi Sun-sin.
I also saw a guide explaining something to a family.
I think it would be a good place to visit with children.
▲ Asan Tourism 12 Lines
Asan Tourism 12 Lines were displayed on one wall of Yeohae Naru.
I'm posting it here because I think it would be helpful to refer to when traveling to Asan.

▲ Sunset
As it got late in the afternoon, the wind was already getting cold.
There were still many people on the ginkgo tree path enjoying autumn.
The Gokgyocheon Stream Ginkgo Tree Path is quite a long walking course.
You can take a walk along the ginkgo tree-lined path, take a walk across the bridge to the path with silver grass, or rent a bicycle and ride around.
There are quite a few things here that children will enjoy.
Some ginkgo trees had already lost all their yellow leaves and were bare, while others were still in full bloom, and still others were still green.
I think you can see the yellow leaves of the Gokgyocheon Stream ginkgo trees until the end of November.
I recommend you visit before all the yellow leaves fall.
