A Spring Visit to the Dangjin Agricultural Technology Center

At the end of April, when the royal cherry blossoms are in full bloom, I visited the Dangjin Agricultural Technology Center.
The royal cherry trees lined up from the main gate sway gently in the spring breeze, welcoming visitors.
Below, clusters of white azaleas blend beautifully with the pink cherry blossoms, showcasing a moment of a sunny spring day.
To the left of the main gate is the Seed Bank building.
Established with the value of 'Agriculture is life, the future of rural areas,' the Dangjin Agricultural Technology Center develops and disseminates various agricultural technologies.
Opened in 2013, the Seed Bank was the first of its kind among local governments nationwide, established to systematically produce and supply quality seeds and to address the shortage of seed supply in the Dangjin area.
It operates seed production tables for rice, field crops, and forage crops.
The garden features a variety of vegetables, herbs, fruits, and flowers commonly found in Korea, allowing visitors to observe the changing diversity of plants throughout the seasons.
Observing the fish swimming in the ecological pond and the surrounding native plants provides opportunities for nature observation and education, making it a great place to visit with young children.
It brings back memories of my childhood, floating white paper boats.
The signs identifying the names of flowers and trees include information on blooming periods, height, uses, characteristics, and flower meanings.
The flower language of the Nanchun (Maeja tree) is 'turning misfortune into fortune,' while the yellow forsythia symbolizes 'please wait for me.'
Some flowers convey heartfelt messages, while others represent a strong will.
If you stop and look closely, you'll realize that flowers, like people, exhibit diverse personalities and emotions.
The white grass flowers covering the ground shine brightly, reminiscent of snow piled up.
A sculpture of a stork soaring energetically among the white blossoms of an apple tree seems to beckon, saying, 'Look at me too.'
On one side, the amusement park features charming rides shaped like ladybugs and frogs that children adore, set on soft grass.
It is a playground where children can run and play freely.
As the gentle spring breeze dances with the royal cherry blossoms, they softly settle on the shoulders and heads of people out for a stroll.
From the swing, looking down reveals the outdoor garden in its entirety.
The clusters of cherry blossoms clinging to the branches showcase their splendid beauty.
If the delicate single cherry blossoms are like 'fragile girls,' the abundant royal cherry blossoms remind me of 'women at the peak of beauty.'
The scenery of a sunny spring day is as beautiful as a painting.
If someone sits on the green chair, they become the protagonist of the picture.
The path leading down to the observatory is magnificent.
It's a flower path that reminds me of the phrase, 'Please step lightly on the flowers that bloom with each step you take.'
I hope the splendid royal cherry blossoms stay with us for a long time.
In well-known places, it's hard to tell if people are there to see the flowers or to see each other, as the crowds can be overwhelming.
However, in lesser-known, quieter spots, one can enjoy spring leisurely.
Capturing the vibrant spring at the Dangjin Agricultural Technology Center can refresh your mood and invigorate your daily life.
