The First Sunrise of the New Year at Samcheok Deokbongsan & Maengbang Beach
If you prefer a quiet and cozy atmosphere rather than crowded tourist destinations, we recommend the Samcheok course. The sunrise from Deokbongsan, a mountain peak embracing the sea, is magnificent in itself. The combination of Maengbang Beach seen from above and the sun rising over the horizon will be an unforgettable memory.
After enjoying the sunrise, you can share New Year's greetings while having Tteok Mandu Guk (rice cake and dumpling soup) for breakfast. A sip of hot soup in the cold dawn air will melt your whole body.
