A Special Family Gathering at HanCook N Seoul Tower: Breathtaking Views and Delicious Korean BBQ

HanCook N Seoul Tower: A Great Place for a Family Outing
Looking for a place to enjoy the beauty of Namsan Mountain and have a fantastic meal with your family? I highly recommend HanCook at N Seoul Tower!
During the Chuseok holiday, I wanted to create a special experience for my parents and treat them to the dazzling Seoul nightscape. So, I made a reservation at <HanCook N Seoul Tower>.
I was surprised they had availability during Chuseok! But when I arrived, I understood why. Getting there was quite crowded and busy... haha.
I heard Namsan Mountain was the backdrop for the final scene of K-Pop Demon Hunters? There were so many foreigners!
One advantage of booking at HanCook is that you can purchase N Seoul Tower Observatory tickets together. Observatory tickets alone cost 26,000 won!
The Special Namsan Course, a window seat, and the night view – a perfect combination!
HanCook is located on the T3 floor of N Seoul Tower's observatory, offering panoramic views of Seoul throughout your meal.
Operating hours are 12:00-22:00 on weekdays, with a break time from 15:40-17:30. Weekends have set lunch and dinner times. I enjoyed the Special Namsan Course around sunset, and the transition from sunset to the night view was incredibly satisfying.
The interior has a circular layout, and all seats are positioned by the windows, so you don't have to worry about the view. The lighting gradually dims as the course progresses, creating a lovely atmosphere.
Traveling by bus is recommended, and parking at the National Theater is convenient.
Parking in the Namsan area can be tricky, so I recommend taking the bus. It was easy to take the Namsan circular bus from Seoul Station, Myeongdong, or Chungmuro. The cable car line was very long during peak season.
If you're driving, parking at the National Theater and transferring to the shuttle or bus is the most practical option.
At the information desk on the 5th floor of N Seoul Tower PLAZA, confirm your reservation and pick up your observatory tickets. The elevator provides direct access to HanCook on the observatory floor, making the route very easy.
A Taste of Hanwoo Grill Perfection: Review of the Special Namsan Course
The Special Namsan Course starts with seasonal porridge and salad, followed by beef tartare and seafood salad. The wild vegetable pancake is served as an appetizer.
For the main course, we chose the Hanwoo sirloin and ribs, both of which were delicious. The charcoal grilling and subtle pine needle scent added a harmonious blend of savory and smoky flavors.
The staff grilled the meat perfectly on the grill, cutting it into easy-to-eat pieces, so we didn't have to worry about the smell. The selection of fresh ssam vegetables was a surprising hit.
For the meal, you can choose between octopus stone pot rice, mul-naengmyeon (cold noodles in broth), or bibim-naengmyeon (spicy cold noodles). The stone pot rice and soybean paste stew combination was the best.
Dessert was a well-balanced finish with vanilla ice cream, dried persimmon, and tea. The course tempo was smooth, making it easy to combine with a visit to the Namsan Tower Observatory.
Considering the course and observatory admission, the price range was reasonable. It's also a perfect venue for special occasions like anniversaries or formal meetings.
However...
I recommend visiting on a weekday when it's less crowded! The wait times on holidays or weekends are just too long and tiring.
Thankfully, my parents really enjoyed it. I need to take them to more nice places!
